Ugh every morning my upstairs neighbor straps cinderblocks to his feet and tends to his boulder collection

It's nice that it just started, usually it starts around 5
He slams the doors so hard that my furniture shakes. I don't think you can chalk that one up to accoustics though. Just plain assininity.

Once in a while his rhino friends come over and they put on 9" stillettos and have a vogue competition

Ant traps work pretty well for us. Try to find out where they're coming in, and if it's a little hole, block or caulk it. Also see if you can figure out if they're headed to a certain area--if you use any sort of cleaning solution and wipe off their tracks, then the incoming ants can't smell it.

Yeah I don't miss the upstairs neighbors I had a couple of years ago who liked to practice for their stint as professional bowlers at 3am.

Yeah... I thought about this.
But it's T who gave her the link... She was my follower for about 8 months. And her husband is still following.

Dunno. I'm overthinking again

Been at the airport for 2 hours now. Flight boards in 5mins and then 2 hours on a plane. 1 hour home. Sister is there until her husband gets off work and comes to get her. I will probably end up taking her home before then but once I get home, I never want to leave again until the next day. I hope they didn't trash my house like last time. Oh, and I need to go to the market and get water for the dogs.

One of my faves

Lived in an apartment and a woman and her toddler son moved in on top. It was so loud. Sounded like a stampede. I would also hear her hit him and cuss. And she would blast her radio at 3am.she got evicted

That's an awesome video.

The people living next to me right now sound like they are coming through the wall; or maybe throwing all of their furniture against it? Idk. The wall and the floor both shake. There are 3 kids living there, so maybe that's it.

I have to straighten the pictures above my bed every day. I wish they would MOVE.

Thanks for asking! But I didn't actually go. I was kinda emotionally wiped out from my shamanic clearing and just didn't feel up to meeting new people. I mean I feel better about stuff, but it wiped me out y'know? I should have known better than to schedule both on the same day....

I will go to the next meeting though!

The person living up there previously, I never heard a peep out of. So the frustrating thing is that I know it's not my rickety crap old building. Living at a reasonable volume can be done here!!!

The lights are changed!! The heavens shine down upon me. Those LED lights, I recommend. Very nice light, clean and bright but not harsh.

I really like this old maintenence guy. We went through all the light fixtures and he gave me time to wash the fittings and dry them. I asked him about drilling into the walls and he taught me everything one could ever need to know about stud placement, lathes, drywall vs plaster, types of stud finders, where to suspect electrical wires or piping, hanging hardware.... At the end I was like wow, thank you!!!! And he said "I'm sorry, that was probably manspaining, right?!"

I told him it was the good kind of mansplaining.

Holy ****

In my first apartment in the city I could always hear a woman downstairs verbally abusing her senile mother. It always made me very sad. It made me sadder when my boyfriend at the time was like "it's none of your business and she probably deserves it"

This guy I know has posted violin teaching ads saying he has "decades of teaching experience." He just finished undergrad.

On top of spaghetti
All covered with cheese
I lost my poor eyeballs
When I read his CV
They rolled off the table
And onto the floor
And then my poor eyeballs
Rolled right out the door

Thanks for the laughs couchies, the boulder collection and cinder block shoes cracked me up! I'm sorry y'all have to live with all that noise. I do have a chicken farm in my backyard, but I don't have them on my roof. The amount of noise my children produce is staggering, I would not be able to live in an apartment, we would be evicted immediately.
Thanks for this!
