Yes I am sleeping well actually.... I am sorry if I sound unstable... this is a very unstable time for me due to some anniversaries but I knew it would happen in advance.

So.

The locksmith came after over two hours waiting. Website said $15? That was just the service charge. Before he started working he told me it would cost $385.

I had to send him away, there was no choice. Tried picking the lock again, failed. Called all the people I could think of to stay overnight and work it out in the morning. No one was answering. Had a massive breakdown on the front steps.

Around 11pm someone walked past me and stopped- I was still crying- and swore up and down that she recognized me. I couldn't figure it out but she did- she is the apprentice for my bowmaker, who happens to live in the other half of the duplex where my attic is. She pointed to his name which was right on the front door the whole time. She had a key and we walked right into his house, said an awkward hello and explained the situation, and he helped me break into my bathroom window from his rooftop garden.

There you go.

The past week I've been taking showers directly in front of this bathroom window, which has no shade, and the shower has no curtain, wondering whose beautiful garden it is, and hoping the owner does not come out to enjoy it during my shower.

What a small world. I'm glad you were able to break in, anais. Sucks that there was a breakdown involved, but I would have broken down as well.

I am posting in US time, yes. I am sleeping quite a bit, believe me.

But posting a lot too, probably too much, it's keeping me from thinking too deeply about what is going on right now. I don't want to go there because both my Ts are away for a long time.

I cancelled my home service. I have to call back again next week to arrange the refund but it doesn't sound like it will be a problem. Phew.

It took me a couple more minutes to open it (drama queen much, Art?) but I did and she offered me this Wednesday after work. So I accepted this time. If I had just done that in the first place... jeez. I wonder if I should tell her when I am there, that the reason I didn't accept it initially was because in my session she had said she wouldn't be available that day. Am I overthinking everything again?!

Anyway now I have the chance to say a proper goodbye.

I have a hangover. From about two fingers of scotch. I may be a weakling, but even I can usually have one or two drinks before feeling the ill effects. Probably I need not to drink on an empty stomach, but food doesn't appeal much these days.

Good scotch? Have found it makes a difference.

If it's any consolation at all, atat, I have a headache this morning after eating baby carrots for dinner with my rather large glass of wine. off to find the ibuprofen....
