I don't think my T would mind, he is always saying its not about the money, but I am not comffortable with owing so much. Iff i didnt cancel it would push it up to around $1000. He let me get up to $800 once nd it was hard paying that back.

Do any of you find DBT's concept of radical acceptance condescending? I think I'm misunderstanding it and focusing on the words used like "throwing tantrums", "being willful"...

And I'm probably interpreting "everything has a cause" wrongly because I just feel it's blaming me for having been maltreated until my mid 20s...

T gave me a handout two weeks ago because my homework is to accept that I've been hurt by the parental units...

QM, I can't speak to any DBT resources, but I know how difficult it was for me to not only accept that I was neglected and mistreated by my parents, but that it's not my fault that they did it. I'm still going through that process myself, so I don't have any advice, but know that you aren't alone.

Wish me luck haha, hormonal contraception is doctor prescription only... my GP's locum is a horrible, judgmental lady who outright told me I should get married and pop out kids. Everytime I refill every 3 months, I'm terrified my GP will be out and she'll be in instead.

Worse thing she did was threaten me with a pap smear the next time I see her to refill. >.<

GP, on the other hand, said it's really normal for women in my country who haven't given birth to not want a pap smear and he was totally understanding when I burst into tears and told him I've "sexual trauma".

We don't get those prescriptions without pap smears... And BF argued about it until I gave in and got the prescription. That was really uncool...

I called the clinic and learned she works Wednesdays and Fridays so I avoid those days.

God, I can't imagine forcing myself through a pap. I've never been raped but the whole thought of a pap with a doctor I have zero trust in is horrible.

I have a trans friend who gets general anesthesia for the procedure, since the body dysmorphia means this is a very traumatizing thing for him to go through.

Maybe someone could do that for you? As a survivor of similar trauma to yours, I've debated seeking it out. Haven't yet.

For the record I feel quite a bit better- still a little uncomfortable randomly. I will go to a GP when I get back from travelling and bring it up with them. Hopefully I won't have any more work catastrophically fall through. Since last August things have been so bad
