This just seems like a pattern of getting attached to men in an authority(?) role.

Hope, I also hope you pause before sending the letter.

I have found it helpful to just take a few days before acting on intense feelings. It would give you a chance to explore your feelings, think about what the consequences might be, talk it over with t. This isn't urgent; if he is going to go have coffee with you it is unlikely that waiting will make a difference.

I was doing well on holding off but then I sent the letter through his Facebook messenger which he won't get because I don't think he's on messenger. So he won't see it.

I was just in so much pain over failing the exam so I think I did that to get my mind off of the pain.

I hope he never sees the message. I should have known better than to do that with a quick decision.

But since I don't think he's on messenger, I don't think he'll be able to read the message.

If you're not his Facebook friend, then I think it would just go to "message requests." So he might not see it, but hard to say.

I "think" you can see messages through messenger even if you don't have the app. I've had friend requests where I can see their comment letting me know who they are. And I have done the same...leave a message so they know who I am.

You can, yes. On the facebook website, you can click the messenger icon. If he isn't already your friend, your message will go to the Message Requests tab rather than Inbox.

On the smartphone apps, it'll prompt you to download the Messenger app instead.
