Wow, great day to take a mental health day. I have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and I need to write an IEP for it. That needs to be translated.

Just great. I really do love my job but sometimes I hate my job.

If my cat had thrown up four times in one day, I'd be taking her to the emergency vet.

Go to the ER is my advice.
Thanks for this!

Good thing I am not a cat

I am going to call the urologist's office if I throw up again within the next hour and see what they say.

Since you already have a urologist, Velcro, I'd call them now (not in an hour) and ask their advice.

Velcro, I'd call the urologist, and if you don't hear back soon and pain/nausea continue, go to ER.

I hope you're able to get some relief soon, Velcro. I've been in some actual near death experiences, but I've never felt worse than when I had my kidney stones.
Thanks for this!

When you have an eyeball headache all day at work and feel all sensitive and like any little thing is going to make you cry and you start doodling, perhaps this is how I felt today and it's a little scary so shall be behind a trigger:
Possible trigger:

eta: However, I did not cry. So at least there's that.

(((Velcro))) is the vomiting because of the pain? Is it possible you are having a reaction to something you ate or your meds? It's scary and frustrating for sure.

I've experienced pain so severe that it made me vomit. I went to the urgent care certain I had a bowel obstruction. It had to be something major with the intensity I was feeling. It was trapped gas. They saw it on X-ray, gave me a prescription for gut muscle relaxers, et voila. I was so angry that flatulence cost me so much!

I hope you make a speedy recovery and don't have to go in.

Velcro, I hope you feel better soon.

I have thrown up due to the pain of a kidney stone before. It was awful.

I have observed those medical people (mds, rns) are very cavalier and often casually cruel about other people's pain.

Its a combination of the pain meds (maybe) and the pain of the kidney stone.

SD: My doctors I've dealt with have actually been pretty compassionate to my pain.

I am glad. My person had one md who was good about it and many rns who were horrible.

I used to work with RNs who insisted that we wait for the patient to ask for pain relief, what is the point of learning what the signs of pain are if you ignore them and make people suffer. I always asked and then told the RN the patient asked.
