ok. diving into chapter 9.3 again. let's see if I can make some headway this evening...

I can't remember the specific topic, but today my therapist asked me the first thought that came to mind when I think of X topic. I immediately said, suicide. She said, I was thinking more along the lines of finding something comforting or calming to do.

It's striking how two people can approach the same problem so differently.

I'm lending you what is left of my daily quota of self-control. I had a few violent thoughts at work today myself. I moaned and griped all day, but no one was harmed and thank goodness it's over. I hope the evening passes quickly!

Other highlights from today: I said that she sometimes has a sinister cast to her that makes it hard to trust. When she resisted fully acknowledging my view on a topic, I said she was treating me like an Apple product (she is resistant to switching over from pcs). I took her up on her long ago offer to answer personal questions, by inquiring why she goes out of town to see her dentist (I only knew about the dentist location when she was running late for a session). I got a great response to my question about therapy as a medical expense, which included a good discussion about the kinds of records she keeps and her agreement that clients are screwed if they are abused by therapists and want to take them to court because they are hung out to dry with the loss of confidentiality. And then we covered some pressing identity issues, and I left feeling a lot better than I have in a long time. It was a really good session.

Well if I was a bad cat mommy yesterday, definitely a bad cat mommy today. My other one is gone too. He had a vet appointment tomorrow afternoon.

Per H’s request I’m coming home with liquor.

It worked, not a single musician was harmed (though they all got a few nasty "is that an insult or a joke?" -type comments from me). But they can't fire me there because I'm principal.

We lost a baby kitty this morning. We can't keep any, giving them away this weekend when they are old enough. I cried about him anyway.

Bleh, since HR scheduled that training course right on T day, I can only see T on 27th of November if the clinic tells her to key me into the "only clinician can schedule that" last slot of the day...

Another week on top of the existing weeks...

Just got a worried email from L

Apparently this week was another "send a one-sentence email to check in with L daily" week. I missed that particular detail. (So now since it's been a week do I send seven sentences?)

I could tell her I've been upset about the way she followed up her suggestion that I choose between her and M with "but it doesn't matter to me either way." But I won't.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thank you flying spaghetti monster my radiators are FINALLY on!!
