I wish I knew what to do. I never know if something is as bad as he acts like it is. He's back in bed asleep now after taking the first antibiotic. When the doctor said he didn't seem that sick, I alternated between being upset like how can you know how he feels and thinking he's just being him. Maybe I should just take him to the emergency room when he wakes up if he's not feeling even a little better. I don't know what to do...

My H had 3 acid reflux attacks which all 3 times he thought was a heart attack. This last time I told him it better be a heart attack, because he no longer has insurance and he got an ambulance ride. Sadly, it was a heart attack. I will never say something like that again. I'd rather it be acid reflux than a heart attack!

This may not be a totally understandable sentiment, but I wish Info took more vacations. She’s missed one week for a vacation to my three when I went away for the holidays.

I seem to have slipped into my depression routine. Rest after every success, give up (for the day) after three failures.

Surely, a woman of Info’s charms would never be lacking for suitable company to go on vacations (desert islands, included)?

I do believe your lack of faith in therapists as a whole is coloring your ability to appreciate their ummm....other qualities?
Thanks for this!

Good lord. My psychiatrist's office is raising their rates AGAIN (they raised them last year as well). As if I wasn't paying enough already for 15 minutes. It's a good thing I only go about twice a year. He doesn't take my insurance, but I have been seeing him since 2011, and he's the only psychiatrist I have ever found tolerable.

Art, urgent care is usually pretty good about identifying emergencies if someone needs to be admitted. I even had an on call nurse direct me to urgent care while I waited at the ER, and she was worried I had flesh eating bacteria. The ER is not always the best option, unless there's a heart issue, stroking out, or gunshot wound. Do you have an on call nurse service to call for advice if you're unsure?
Thanks for this!

Actually I think we do have that nurse line thing we can call. Thanks for reminding me. I get so caught up in worrying about him I forgot about it. He's feeling better enough right now that he wanted to eat dinner so I went and got him a Subway sandwich. He's trying to go back to sleep. The doc said the antibiotic will be working by tomorrow if it's gonna so him wanting to eat I will take as a good sign. He was so absolutely miserable earlier though that it's a cautious optimism. The fever broke now too when I got back w the food (we're at a hotel cuz of broken furnace, our friends couldn't put us up but our son's gonna stay there at least) I hope it stays gone.

Enough of my woes.

We're watching wild, wild West I've never seen it before, it's, interesting...

Gotta say I dislike phone calls from my aunts too! They ring and ring and ring and ring until I pick up lol.

I watched this movie called The Big Sick because I relate to Kumail (the male protagonist) and there was this scene where he's out and avoiding coming home. His mother and father called him 17 times throughout the night!
