Maybe it's this feeling like a passenger in my body thing but I'm also finding I'm super-sensitive to noise lately, I'm not allowed to wear my noise-canceling headphones at work anymore (!) Until I get a doctor's note, which I can't do til after January since I can't take time off work this month to go to Dr, and the noise makes it SO hard for me to concentrate on my job. I literally feel like I am going crazy. Maybe I'm not handling all the hours better this year. Gah! I may have to call t and schedule a session. I wonder if a note from her would work.... oh and trying to eat healthy and lose weight is probably contributing to all of this. Sugar withdrawal or something. Artie's losing her mind, just another day, move along, nothing to see here haha well if I don't laugh I'll cry.

Hugs to all who want cuz I want some too

Detoxing from sugar can be rough and can take over a week but I believe you will ultimately feel better if you can stick it out.
Will they let you wear ear plugs or could you get the clear earplugs that are not super visible such as these https://www.amazon.com/EarDial-Ear-P...earplugs&psc=1
I find it ironic/sad/stupid that a health care call in center is so oblivious to the health care needs of its employees.

Heck, yes, Art....super noise-sensitivity is a thing here, too.

Also can't deal with noise either; I am incredibly sensitive to it.

Feeling strangely disgruntled. Exercise did not help. Took a pill. More exercise, perhaps.

On Tuesday, in response to something I'd said, T had made the comment that there aren't generally quarterbacks who are 5'7" (his height). So, of course I looked it up. For the record, the shortest QB in the NFL right now (well, I think story was from a year ago) is Russell Wilson at 5'11". And historically, the best QBs have been 6' or more (yes, there are articles on this). I guess some of them just look smaller with all the other...big guys out there. (I'm sure you'll all sleep better tonight knowing that!)
Thanks for this!

I imagine being able to see over the line of scrimmage and through traffic downfield would be useful.

If we assume QB height will correspond to playoff performance, it’ll be a Jags-Eagles Super Bowl, Eagles win.

Well, off to see Piaf the Practical.

I do like the juxtaposition of Piaf and practical but I do believe it's lost on Piaf the Practical.

(With that, I believe I've fulfilled my daily duty of aiming snark at your therapist[s].)

I'll be happy with anything other than a Patriots win...Partly because I don't like the Patriots, and partly because, if I don't have a horse in the race, I root for the underdog. Which at this point is anyone other than the Pats...

Well, MC is maybe 5'5" (being generous), and he used to play basketball (in high school at least...possibly college?). One of my favorite moments with ex-T is when I was relaying a story where he'd talked about having to compensate for his height as a basketball player. And she was like, "He played basketball?" and started laughing hysterically. Then repeated it and laughed again.

Well, so much for my overtime money this month. Our furnace just crapped out - the repair guy is here now looking at it and there's numerous problems in the whole HVAC system. Apparently there was a very small leak before we bought the house and the last person that owned it did some jerry-rig fix with duct tape (!!) which exacerbated the problem, and what caused the motor to go was a power surge that blew out the capacitor. Like I'm probably getting all this wrong trying to remember what the dude said. We're using the guy our friend who flips houses for a living uses, so we trust him. It's probably gonna end up being around a couple grand repair for everything. Oh well.

ETA and $2300 later....
