LT This isn't your fault and I will repeat that Good will hunting style. You're not too much. It's not you. It was MC's responsibility to maintain boundaries in the first place not yours, he let it reach the stage that it did and the high school teacher was downright horrible.

Your new therapist sounds sweet and I think you can make real progress with him. I really liked his last paragraph before he signed off.

Yes, we got a couple days off (I had leave so nothing lost) and my agency's commissioner begged borrowed and finagled funds for us. I'm guessing that practice was set in stone and locked up somewhere as a precaution for the future. It was a scary time, lots of memos came out detailing steps that were taken and reassuring us all, which I really appreciated.

I guess it didn't scare me enough to leave for a private industry career!

Email from R...she hopes to return to work the week after next. I am relieved, and dog tired all at the same time. How the hell does that work?

Brrrrr was it cold this morning I could not bear to shower I just stuck my head under the faucet to wet my hair and make it a semblance of acceptable for work. It was 58 degrees F in my house this a.m. without the furnace. It got down to like 42 F outside. They had to order a part that will take another few days to get then it should be fixed! At least it's warm here at work...

Wish it was like that for us. Last time it happened he went three weeks before getting paid. We do usually get back pay, but for the time that he is at home, and out of work we have nothing coming in at all. Couch 161: The Hexagonal Pyramidal Couch

I did not know football was on tonight. I thought we were in basketball season now. I don't watch it either, just thought that was the US sport that was on now.

Whats YOUR reaction to what he wrote? He takes a lot of time and effort to compose those emails, you pay a lot for them. What do you do with them besides post them here? I would suggest - if i were ever given the gift of such a long reply from my t, i would: Copy it to another document, then "answer" it, or discuss every few lines or each topic, as if i were actually in session.

I mean, we all have OUR reactions to what he wrote, but it seems like you see weekend contact as a test for "he loves me, he loves me not", he's tired of me, im too much or im not - its very binary, very black and white. Theres no MEAT there. Like the meat with MC just melted into nothingness, unless he "apologizes". Dissecting Ts email might help this therapy from becoming so ephemeral.

Eta - arent you glad you asked?!

Its the games before the superbowl.

Also i recommend watching the game on right now because it is being co-narrated by Tony Romo, who used to date Jessica Simpson, and who used to quarterback the Dallas Cowboys, and who i never liked and thought was a big baby, but omg he is the BEST narrator!!!

He tells all the inside thoughts the players are probably having, like strategies and stuff, that you usually dont hear on a game. Really good insider information. I find it quite gratifying.

I don't watch football either.

well work was pretty easy this morning! while on overtime we're helping another department work their cases because they're so behind, so i spent an hour reading the work instructions and other stuff they emailed us, then 45 minutes in training for it, so between that and my break (2 hours total) i worked cases for only 2 hours. Easy peasy overtime day! And i did the laundry yesterday, so now I get to relax the rest of today...

I read this interesting NYT article on female anger that I'd really like to share with Blondie but I suspect, she just won't get it. Sigh.

In other news, I have shingles. I did the teledoc thing for the first time today. That seemed like a better choice than urgent care with all the people with influenza A. Honestly, wouldn't use the teledoc unless I was pretty sure what was going on, but it was more comfortable waiting at home for a call than sitting in a waiting room with sick people for however long it took to be seen. And, according to the always-correct WebMD, I needed to start the antiviral meds ASAP and within 48 hours of the rash showing up (which was Friday). I got the prescription I wanted and the copay was only $10 so there is that.

I hope you start feeling better soon. I'm glad you have the option of the teledoc thing, i have that with my insurance and my h has used it a couple times. much better than going into a dr office when you're pretty sure what it is, and anything to help you be more comfortable is a plus. i'm sending healing thoughts your way.
Thanks for this!
