I mean I know I'm not going to be able to once we start paying the hospital bills, so I want to go one more time before those bills start rolling in. We'll be paying hopefully a maximum of $5400.00 assuming everything is covered. I'll appeal whatever I have to of course. But until it's paid off, I won't be seeing t. Will work w hospital on a payment plan or something. Wish me luck telling h I'm going today...
Is your reason for dreading telling him because you are worried that he will be upset about the money? Or is there some other reason that you don't mention going? Apparently not everyone tells their significant other that they are going to therapy. My therapist specifically asked me if I was going to tell my husband.

Thanks, Lost. Just told him now. He was actually ok with it once I explained I wouldn't go again til the bills are all paid.

Good to hear, and I hope you don’t have to go too long without your T.
In my country both hospital is free for everyone, regardless whether they work or not, have insurance or not (we don’t have health insurance, the ones paying taxes covers it, everyone working is paying taxes).
Therapy is free if your doctor ‘testify you need one, need a diagnosis to get one long term, though.’
Private psychologist/psychiatrist we have to pay for.

I wished you didn’t have to pay so big bills, hope everything sorts out.
Thanks for this!

Hi, baseball couch. Hope you're all doing well.

I'm drowning in work. I'm drowning in my other responsibilities. There isn't enough time in the day to do everything. I just needed a short break, but back to writing IEPs and doing my homework for my class that starts in an hour.

Popping in with a life tip I figured out today:
When making a long-day probably-regret-it-later after work cup of coffee, it works best if one plugs in the coffee maker.

You're welcome.

At a concert on my birthday—yay! (Not disclosing artist because would disclose my location if someone did a search—just saying rock/alternative, not like a symphony). One thing I know: I will not be sending any emails after this one! (Fateful email to MC was right after a concert).

Ugh.. I sucks at writing.. College is going well other than all the damn papers I have to write. Who wants to write all my papers for the next year???

Would you keep me supplied with strangely-flavored Oreos?

Is there a writing center on campus? They might be able to help. I make my students go to ours for every paper I assign.

How much are you willing to pay? Kidding. You would surely not pass if I wrote the papers.

Things will get better, and I think you have already been getting better in the time you’ve been posting here, but it does take time, and there’s no need to white-knuckle it every step of the way (says the white-knuckling pro).
I guess I wonder what the actual point of the IOP is. I'm basically paying more people who can't actually be there for me when I have an emotional meltdown at 9pm or whatever. It just seems like an exercise in futility.

No, into a tunnel that leads directly to my car.

This evening was NOT one of those sessions though. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. It is so much more enjoyable talking with her lately, without that annoying and painful child-attachment crap that I finally finally FINALLY worked through/got past/was killed off by her "I know".
Thanks for this!

Maybe IOP is supposed to make 9pm emotional meltdowns less likely? Or more tolerable?

Anyway, I'm sorry things are rough, NPC. I hope you find a solution that works for you.

It made your post sound positively demure and statesmanlike.

I guess I need to write that Contact Hypothesis Diversity paper this weekend.

For my first paper of the semester, I have to watch and review a documentary called "Happy", addressing 5 major ideas that I learned from the film using specific examples from the case studies therein.
