I laughed, too! My T is also on the second floor and has basically a wall of windows behind him...

3. Make sure the window is open (“I need some fresh air”), then lure the therapist over (“I need you to hold me”) and give a good push.

good afternoon, couch. oh the shenanigans gotten up to today what with talk of throwing t's out their windows and all! I've been all domestic today cooking and doing laundry. I finished my first discussion post last night and got it submitted, and today have also been reading some of the other posts. I responded to 2 others as required on Friday, but am enjoying reading everyone else's too. There are 30 students in this class. It's another completely online one again. I think the next class I take though, I'm going to actually go in person. Maybe. We'll see.

I'm going back to school for my Master's degree in Mental health counseling And I'm debating between campus or online… I really think that I need to be in a classroom setting... How do you like online classes in general?

Hey Everybody i am confused if this considered as xenophobia. The question is let consider if you are in the class. and the education language is English in that class which is your mother language also, but there is two foreigners among you . their English is not so good, they can speak English but they feel more comfortable and can explain themselves better in their mother language, they are sitting behind you , they talk with each other in their own language. or one asked the other "what time is it" or "what is the next class" or "give me the pen" or something like that using own language / how would you feel? Would that be considered Rude? Do they have to speak English in that case?

You didn’t ask me, but I teach both kinds as well as take both kinds. It may be different at your school, but my strong impression is students learn more in-person, plus you have the opportunity to build face-to-face relationships with classmates and professors, both of which may turn out to be useful contacts in the profession.
Thanks for this!

I like the online ones because there's more flexibility, since there's only the deadlines for each assignment and you figure out yourself when you're going to get your studying/writing done. So like if I have a bad day at work or something there's no pressure to go to a class that evening. Plus I'm not the most social creature on earth; I get quite enough socialization at work most days!

But then again, I'm so interested in this Psychology stuff that I'm starting to think it might be fun to be in a classroom environment where we can ask questions that everyone else would get to hear, instead of just to the instructor! There's good reasons to do both, I think.

That's a good point about building face-to-face relationships. More reason to make my next class an in-person one.

In the first post the first QUOTE needs a [ in front of it to get the box.

Psychologically speaking, what is a non-generative pattern? Does that mean a pattern of behavior that keeps you stuck or something, instead of letting you move forward? Something t mentioned that didn't really register at first so I didn't ask and now I'm wondering.

So far - not a single super bowl ad has been worth watching. At this rate, I might actually watch the game itself.

I don’t enjoy watching football at all and the commercials are pretty stupid this year. H is watching as he is a big football fan..and well with the “underdogs” being our home team and possibly making history (doubt it), I sit here next to him wanting it to hurry up and end so I can go to bed.
Thanks for this!

How often does a Philadelphia team win anything, though?

Blame me...I was rooting for them.

Haha. I was secretly rooting for them. Philadelphia needed a win. I think the last time they went to Superbowl was 2008? And they lost to New England. Or maybe 2008 was the year the Phillies won the World Series? I don’t know..but I think the last time any philly team won something was around 2008.
Thanks for this!

2008 was the Phillies.

2005 the Eagles lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

There is way too much sports knowledge cluttering up my brain.

Hope the noise subsides soon.
