You'd think at some point I would learn not to bring up attachment issues in the last 15 minutes of the session. But apparently not! Sigh...

I've developed a plan to reduce my weekly intake over the next 6 weeks or so, basing it on number of beers I drink a week (I...don't want to say what that current number is, but my ultimate goal is 10 or fewer). It could be worth getting (on Amazon) and maybe discussing with your T? It's one of the "Click to Look Inside" ones, so you can get a good sense of it.
interesting, i may check it out.

Was it you that had the peepee problems a while back? Like for me, i get motivated to lose weight when i am in pain, but as soon as i lose enough to where the pain subsides, my motivation disappears. That could be the definition of Satan!

lol @ "the peepee problems" yeah i had two kidney stones last year. i really am not motivated to stop drinknig, but i do know that it doesn't help my dpression or isolation, both of which have only gotten worse over the past couple of months. well the depression a bit better bc i added some meds on, but isolation a lot worse.

So my coteacher is pretty awesome and told me not to worry about school at all until I get back. I'm praying to go back Thursday, but will probably wait until Friday. Our school nurse is gathering numbers for how many people have been out. I know at least myself and two other teachers, as well as several students. We may close to clean.

But not why I originally wanted to post. I've been working on this cross stitch project for over a year, and I was finally motivated to finish today:

Possible trigger:

PS, LT, just do what I do and never bring up attachment stuff. (Kidding, obviously)

Jeez, it’s like you guys only value Info for her sartorial greatness.

I don’t remember the actual clothes, because I was too bedazzled by the shoes. You know the ruby red slippers in The Wizard of Oz? They were like those, only gold. Sequins and all.

Let’s see...she used to be a nutrition columnist for a newspaper in Michigan, and she would pepper her columns with stories of her crazy Italian family. (Una—any therapists in the family? )

Oh, and her stomach gurgled in session, which I would not have heard or noticed at all, except she put her hand to it and announced that it had just gurgled. ‘K.

Maybe it’s worth asking yourself why unconsciously you keep doing it? To get reassurance then and there? To leave unsettled so you have something to worry about? To give you a reason to contact him for reassurance later if it doesn’t happen at the time?

Well that's not the only reason I'm interested in her, ATAT. I just stick around to find out what the gloves are for.

Blondie and I both mention any and all bodily noises -- I got into the habit after she started doing it (both hers and mine).

Blondie takes it a step further and announces -- in utter seriousness -- that it has "meaning" (bodies making noises apparently in response to topics being discussed).

Sometimes when she's in the mood, she'll comment on her noises -- and bodily sensations -- matching mine. She calls it "our stomachs are chatting" (the cuteness is overwhelming you, I know).

But lately, since my eating habits have gotten worse and my stomach issues are uncontrollable, she hasn't been able to keep up with me.

(And yes, the offer to exchange Blondie for Info is still on the table.)
Thanks for this!

Your cross stitch is lovely, Daisy. It looks like a tiny weave, what size is it?

What will you do with your finished project?

This post makes me realize Info is worth a dozen Blondies.

ETA: How did I only just take in “our stomachs are chatting”? No. Just no.

How do you not bludgeon her?

It's actually not that small. 14 count. I plan on framing it, going to hold onto it. It's the first massive piece I've done do it had sentimental value.

Stomachs chatting, writing stuff on the memo line of a check. Been there done that with XT. On one of my checks, I wrote pee. She said, what’s pee for? I said “I just pissed away 80 bucks and an hour of my time” She was dumbfounded.

So you envision her as your noble defender against the non-bourgeois hordes of non-paddle tennis players, her feet planted firmly in a wide stance as you cower behind her legs, both hands clutching her paddle tennis racquet, ready to deliver a heavy topspin backhand to any who should dare to come after you?

Well, at least it's an original client fantasy about their therapist.

So, bonus session with T tomorrow at 3 to discuss attachment. And to possibly get terminated, since in the e-mail, I asked if he felt like he was up for this, to be honest, how if not, I'd rather know now. Which hopefully is not why he wanted to meet with me in person instead of responding to e-mail... Pocket riders welcome...
