Which reminds me, when Amadeus won Best Picture in 1984, the Oscar producers couldn’t believe it. They were convinced Laurence Olivier had said the wrong name (A Passage to India was expected to win). But in fact he hadn’t, and that didn’t happen until Beatty and Dunaway last year.

You're right. It's just so hard for me to set boundaries with anyone. I think my sister has BPD also, so she's very sensitive to rejection and she's sees people as all good or all bad. Last week, my mom was a bad person. I guess it's my turn.

I too thought bpd reading the post.

I was really bad with boundaries, but then read then book the subtle art of not giving a f uk The first time I said no to something I didn't want to do was very hard, but you grow tired of bending over backwards for people.

Start small- baby steps.

He said he was getting away from therapy and doing more assessments. How was I supposed to take that?

There is no good ice cream in the house. Only chocolate, and I don’t like chocolate ice cream. This is a problem.

I am worn out of being the person who holds everything together. But b*tching about chocolate ice cream is easier because I can go to the store to buy real ice cream.

I dont understand the need to spell your childs name in such unusual manner. Childhood is hard enough without the child having to spell their name evey time someone asks. My D went yo school with a child whose parents replaced the vowels in a name with apostrophes, sounded Klingon.

They might have chosen the name Proodence for themselves. Your parents didn't call you Blessed Cheese Maker, I suppose?

At the risk of being a complete and total d-bag, it’s kinda hard to be down with Passage (or other stuff in that genre) after reading Edward Said.

And, I shall stop forthwith!

He didn't indicate he was quitting. I'm not sure why he told me this. It just made me feel like he doesn't like doing therapy and that I'm a burden.
