I have only had blue bell in the dallas airport and it did not, to me, live up to the hype. I am not taken with blue bunny either although I knew one guy who could wax on for hours about the various blue bunny novelties.

Tomorrow we (5 of us I think) will be wrappping all the toys for the Christmas in July event happening tomorrow night (for the foster kids charity I've been shopping for). Should be fun. I'm helping w the event, too.

Well there's your problem. You despise novelties.

So today Piaf and I did therapy through the lens of Greek tragedy.

It was enjoyable. Perhaps not very insightful, but enjoyable.

Plus I got to practice bits of my standard lecture on tragedy at her.

I’m gonna call that a “light session.”

ETA: the helpful part was when she asked which Greek tragic hero I most resembled and I said “Ajax.” Which is not the answer I expected from myself.

Chocolate all the way. Only chocolate and nothing else. Okay, brownie batter maybe but that's it.
But see, this way there's more chocolate ice cream for you. Chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate pie...you can have it all.

I like chocolate chunks or chocolate swirls all right, but too much chocolate, it's like it jumps in my mouth and starts shouting CHOCOLATE!!!!!! Augh!

Ajax? My memory of reading the Iliad is a little fuzzy but wasn’t he mostly known for his physical strength? Or, do I have him mixed up?

Sophocles’ Ajax. After Achilles’ death he loses a competition for his armor to Odysseus, who has bribed the judges. So Ajax goes insane in his rage and kills a bunch of livestock thinking they are the other Greek leaders. When he returns to his senses and realizes what he has done, he kills himself in shame.

It’s all about sophrosyne—moderation, proodence, emotional self-control.

Well, yes, in the Iliad he’s the epitome of strength, but he’s also the guy whose opinion other soldiers respect the most, and, sadly, always second-best.

I recently learned that fear of bunnies—leporiphobia—is very common.

Fear of bunny spoor must be leporiscatophobia.

Ajax? That is interesting.

And $13 spreadable whiskey does not a quality product promise.

i'm trying to juggle too much in my head. keeping up with my short term disability claim from june to make sure it all gets settled, keeping track of the hospital/dr bills, keeping on the guy who caused my car accident's insurance co to make sure the rental car company gets paid off... when i got home i learned that my son is fine but had an accident while I was out of town that they didn't tell me about, during a bad storm he slid off the road and hit a median, nobody else involved just dented his truck. h says this is the universe testing me to make sure i was ready to leave therapy. he doesn't know i had already emailed her after my accident... meanwhile my shoulder is still sore I wonder if I should go see a dr in case it was caused by the accident...

I had already decided to make ice cream this week-end. Bowl is in the freezer as we speak! It will be fresh peach with a touch of Amaretto. It makes amazing ice cream sandwiches using ginger snaps--or even crumbling snaps over the top in a dish.

Other favorites: Black Walnut or Pistachio (the only other ice creams I like with chunks), Coffee, Lemon Custard, and Green Tea. And yes--a fabulous Vanilla. Love dark chocolate, but chocolate ice cream tastes too much like milk chocolate, so not a fan.
Thanks for this!
