It's been quite a vacation so far... Car accident, confession to friend, tearful conversation with my mom....

The moonshine?

Me: "would you call talking about an abusive family member a cul de sac"
Him: "no"

and:

Me: it still feels very present
Him: which is odd considering it's been three years.

Both of those caused ruptures. He doesn't seem to see it at the same kind of trauma as other traumas. Even though he tells me he now gets it.

When he came back from holiday I told him about a horrible nightmare I had about T1. He didn't even really say anything about it. I'm just tired of going over this with him again and again. It's been years.
I hope you can show him this post and tell him he needs to up his game. Trauma at the end of the day is still trauma- and defiantly not something that you'd be "over" in a short period of time.

It's never spam- I giggled reading about the moonshine. It sounds like pretty strong stuff, maybe it should be used as truth serum!

This last couple of days has just reinforced that I dated and married the wrong brother. I should have gone out with younger brother but chose my needy ex. The younger brother was better looking and more aloof and i was more attracted to him but i didntthink i stood a chance. His younger brother would have given me the space I neede in a relatonship instead of a smothering controlling one.

(((@@))) i dont think "hotel beau sejour" is proper french. Or as my french teachers used to say, "ça n'est pas français." One cant just string random french words together and say ooh la la thats french. Maybe its belge, but im betting its tvtalk. i think the definition below bears me out.

Morning, Couch.

Bumpy few days in Lostland, hope to heck things will level out next week. Desperately need to exhale.

Hi all,

Woke up around 2 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. This is happening too often. I might need to take the Trazodone I was prescribed.

Hope you can get some sleep. Trazodone worked well for me except for the nightmares I sometimes got while I was on it. It did make me sleep though when I really needed help to.
Thanks for this!

Went on a 40-minute walk around my neighborhood this morning. Was only going to do 25 minutes, but was feeling good (despite the heat and my heartrate being in the cardio zone the whole time--which usually makes me anxious) and decided to do another loop. I even saw a deer leap in front of me (crossing the road into the woods). I need to try to do this more often.

The entire neighborhood is out working on their lawns this morning - there are at least 7 lawnmowers going right now. My dogs are in protect the property from the marauders heaven right now. Nothing makes them happier than righteous barking at grass cutting ne'er do wells. Sometimes that even means me when I am doing lawn work.

Some are lawn companies, some are retired persons and some are teachers who are not at school right now. And it is a lot at one time which is why I noticed it. One company had this giant riding mower for the little tiny city yard (usual where I live) it was cutting - it took like two turns and was finished - that fun and silly. The companies are on some schedule but probably the reason everyone else is out is to get it done before it hits 100 with super humidity later this afternoon and we have pop thunderstorms predicted for the next several days.
