Hi, IB.

Sometimes, I think whoever popularised the idea of sleeping eight hours never experienced the hell of being unable to sleep a wink in that time. I think I must get some sleep, but I never feel as though I have slept.

Good to meet you!

When I manage to sleep, I usually sleep for 11 or 12 hours and I'm still tired afterwards. Sleep is weird.

I go away for a bit and I see you’re back to discussing Blondie

(Btw, the expression “It’s all Greek to me” is taking on a whole new meaning.)

I’m sure you think I’ve never heard that before...

(Greeks say, “you’re talking Chinese!” Or Turkish, depending on one’s location.)

Oh, and never accept a gift from me. Being Greek and all.

It popularized the maxim “beware of Greeks bearing gifts.” Because of the Trojan Horse.

Youse guys are so edumacated!

The concert last night was so good! I'd forgotten how much I enjoy their songs. They still sound so much the same after all this time. They said this September they will perform their 5,000th show! 44 years they been making music. Crazy.

I’m leaving soon for a writing workshop at my university. We all had to write a three-page story about going to a laundromat.

I find that kind of assignment dull, so I began mine, “I wanted to get laid. So I went to the laundromat.”

When I am laid in the Laundromat...

A modern Dido's Lament?

That's great! I'd want to keep reading lol

I've been a lazy bum as far as working on the story I'd started before I had to drop my writing class. I'm doing therapy-type writing now as I've started working through the CODA workbook. Answering lots of tough questions...

I didn't either, this is the first time he's delivered one of those, I think. Maybe it's something relatively new? I dunno.

Huh, just looked it up, it can be used for a treatment for type 1 diabetes if you're having trouble controlling blood sugar other ways. But apparently, they leave your original pancreas in, too? Weird.

Pancreas donation is not brand new. They used my mother's when she died almost 20 years ago.
