I do like some of the metaphors for therapy, like clients as “tourists walking off of cliffs while taking selfies.” That feels spot-on.

And I can totally see myself, urged in therapy to come up with a metaphor to describe myself, producing “I’m a Fenian.”

Oh, this was brilliant.

Although, a tad wince-inducing to read, yes — but that’s quite in keeping with therapy too, dare I say.

Well, I signed up for a 5K next month. Will likely walk most of it. Good thing is it’s 5 min from my house so don’t have to get up crazy early.

For the first time- I'm not looking forward to tuesday's session. Maybe I am just acting out because I can. But why can't I just not go?! What about what I think is right for me over what R thinks is right for me? I'm generally suicidal or depressed so not thinking clearly half the time, but I don't know if i'm making the right choice. I guess I just feel disillusioned by the whole thing. He's not Gandalf who will come charging to save me at my Helms deep.

I repeated some weeks- the very first time I did it, but I honestly found running for 1.5 mins hard xD. There was also zombies run which was kinda cool. I bought it because my sister gave me a itunes gift card.

I haven't heard of anteater.Googled it though- a gps app. I always just stuck to one route outside in the forest park, but I liked running indoors.

Wow!! That's so cool. I have never been able to run - too top-heavy - I would have to walk the entire thing!! I hope you have fun!

[googling app]

Oh! Interesting. I wonder if there's a similar one for walking since I'm not a runner.
Thanks for this!

I just made my weekly pot of red lentil chili, and my rings did not fall off into the pot this time. Just thought I would share that. Heh. I took advice from here and got a ring sizer thingy off of amazon for very little $ that's like a rubber spring looking kinda thing that you cut to size and basically wrap around the ring to make it smaller so it doesn't fall off. I wrapped it around both my rings to keep them together cuz they 'fit' together but don't really stay lol. I decided against having them cut/resized cuz my marriage is in a kinda fragile place right now and I think in my mind, having them cut, would be a little too symbolic even though they'd be put back together.

I would say you could build up to the app to help you feel more comfortable. You could do 1 min faster walking than normal, 2 mins normal speed and repeat for a week or 2.

I was never a runner either but I honestly would recommend it! The one I used took around 9 weeks. I joined a myfitnesspal running group and many people there repeated weeks if they needed to. It's about going at your pace and doing it safely to prevent injuries. The first week started of slowly: something like a 5 min warm up. then intervals of walking for 1.30 seconds, running/ jogging for 1 min. Then repeating with another 5 min cool down. Three times a week was all that was needed.

Okay now I'm feeling nostalgic and now watching a theory of a tv show I was obsessed with as a child.

The Original DigiDestined Theory

I also liked Hey arthur, the smurfs, the snorks, cardcaptors, pokemon, power rangers, barney.Yup raised on TV.

When i took a racewalking class when i lived in California, it started in spring, and by sometime that summer, after a lot of 30 mile weeks of walking, one day i just started running. I was like Forrest Gump! I ran a mile (i was at a track) and i couldnt believe it, my body just DID it. I wanna do that again. Before i die.

Wouldn’t having them resized suggest you had faith your marriage would continue?

That is a more positive way to look at it...

But, it was more sd's point that I have a goal of losing another 50 lbs and don't want to have to resize them twice.

Yesterday you mean? We smoothed things over from Tuesday’s mix-up over appointment time (I was an hour early and left after 30 minutes) and made some changes to the way she makes appointments (at the end of the session literally at the door, when I really am not paying too close attention).

It was a pretty good session otherwise. She would say we re-established a connection, probably. Time will tell.
