I've brought my favorite stuffed animal (a dog my grandma gave when I was 2! and I'm 56 now!) with me to therapy before. That was helpful too. I'm so glad she recently got the big furry pillow I was hugging last night...

I regularly bring a stuffed teddy bear to therapy. Sometimes it has to stay in the bag, but when I'm upset it really helps cuddling it.

I used to bring a little stuffed animal mouse but I associate it too much with my former T and I don't want to associate him with this T. I will have to find something else to take with me.

Preparing for a worker's comp audit is boring. I forgot how boring it was from last year. I'm trying to stay focused but it doesn't help that it's Friday afternoon....

My therapist has never said anything about holding feelings or sitting with them or anything along those lines. Maybe she thinks I would interrogate her about that for weeks on end and drag out transcripts of when she said it, in case there's a disagreement.

I rejected one therapist because she had stuffed bears all over her office.
They creeped me out.

I think the language is woowoo. The idea that one has feelings but doesn't have to act just because of a feeling is not woowoo to me.

My therapist doesn't have stuffed animals that I can see. She did have a drunk lady show up once, though. Not the same thing, but it goes to show that a therapist's office can surprise.
Thanks for this!

H just got a bill from his surgery...$60k. He wants to sell the house. He promised me we'd never lose this house. It's seriously my dream house and we got it for a steal. Watch... he's going to also get charged our copay of $325 for each of the 37 times he went to the hospital. I want to give up!

You can likely work out a payment plan with the hospital, we did that with my hospital bill from June.

H and I went grocery shopping tonite and in the car we talked about what I'd wanted to on Monday but didn't. He feels the same way I do so score 1 for "us" there. We're going to start having a set 'date night' every week to talk, or watch a movie, go out to eat, whatever.

I just remembered something when he came to visit me before he moved there, before we got married , we cooked together once and it was fun. I think I'll suggest we do that again.
