Plants are a super bad idea in my house. If they don't die due to my plant care incompetence, they suffer from cat abuse and dismemberment.
It is like the time my person and I put a bird feeder in the back yard and watched the dog we had at the time simple leap up and grab the birds out of the air as they came to feed. It was like we had just installed him his own bird vending machine. He was not that bright of a beast and we simply never imagined him capable. The other dog was so not a hunter that she wouldn't even eat meat if it wasn't cooked, let alone catch wild creatures and kill them. She would sit in the back yard and the squirrels would cavort around her.

Perhaps cat grass but too much effort in that case.

The dog story made me chuckle.

I skipped session today. He hasn't replied to my last two emails and I know he won't contact me until I miss the second session too. I don't think I'm asking for too much.

Cats see plants as job competition as plants also lie around and have people tend to their every need. And plants don't knock tumblers of whiskey into the bathtub.

My Tigger sees plants as something to much on, previous cat Dylan was like that, he ended up at the vet a lot due to 1) picking a fight with something it was not smart to fight with (ie: vehicles, rats, foxes, other cats, large dogs, etc) or 2) deciding to get the munchies when there was a cat-unfriendly plant within munching distance

My therapist had said yesterday that he might be able to see me today, but he's still sick. Poor guy. I really need to see him in person soon, I miss him, and that makes me feel so pathetic. I hope he's back tomorrow.

Why'd you skip? Because he didn't reply to your emails? Did he change boundaries on email with you?

My doctor just told me I had too much muscle mass.

She showed me the charts for typical muscle mass in a woman by age and activity level and I am way way off the chart, even if you take 20 years off my age and pretend I'm an athlete.

I don't know what I'm supposed to do about this. I'm quite healthy except for the endo and the recent pneumonia. I don't look like a bodybuilder. I put the muscle on over the past couple years just by lifting weights regularly and eating protein. My body fat percentage is fine. So why is this a problem? But apparently I need to lose some muscle.

As stupid as it sounds, but yes I used that as an excuse.

I feel like he has, but he always does it without telling me first. The last two weeks if I sent him something he has been replied the following Tuesday just before my session. Today he didn't reply at all.

Hmmm unless the muscle is negatively affecting you and you're eating well enough is it really a problem?

I thought of you when I was lifting 10kg on a arm thingy.

I'm sorry.

When you skip do you feel empowered by it or do you end up regretting it? I've never skipped, but there have been a few times I felt like it, but I made myself go. Then we talk about why I was feeling that way and I'm always glad I went. Once I even sent him an email saying "if I don't send this to you now I'm not coming next time and I don't want to do that" and explaining why I was feeling hurt. I just worry that you get in this habit of skipping and cancelling your sessions, but you're just going to end up hurting yourself in the end and I don't want that for you.
Thanks for this!

Did the md explain why it is a problem?

I have been having persistent numbness and tingling in my right hand and forearm. She thinks muscles are putting pressure on a nerve and causing it. (My mother suggested something similar when it first started being a problem.)

And in general she worries the muscle is putting pressure on my joints or will.

But I also have a referral to a neurologist about the numbness and tingling.

Thank you NP.

I feel like we've haven't been on the same page for a while now. For me when I skip it feels like a giant "see I can live without you", but I feel like he's always nicer when I do eventually come back.

For friends and parents you could stick with something generic like food items. I've seen some really nice cheap hampers.

Daughter in law and son perhaps a gift voucher so they can choose something they want.

Needing him doesn't make you pathetic.

Could you arrange a phone session if that would be easier for him?

You're so lucky. I have 26 people on my list. I think I'm done shopping except for stocking stuffers. I have some stocking stuffers but probably not enough. I'm over shopping this year. I am not having fun doing the shopping. Kit.
