Some kind of fantasy game with dice and miniature creatures...
Apparently people still play it...but his are from the early 80’s.

“Warhammer is a miniature wargame that simulates battles between terrestrial armies, with a medieval fantasy theme. As in other miniature wargames, players use miniature models to represent warriors and artillery.” -Wikipedia

My daughter dated a guy who played Warhammer. Those miniatures are crazy expensive. Might be worth a check around, Jersey. Some collectors somewhere might snap them up!

Free to anyone willing to come pick him up? You could just leave him on the porch with the taker's name on a Post-It on his forehead.

Random thoughts...

Art, glad to see you.
Daisy too.

I would eat fried grits in the morning, maybe, if they were crispy. I may try that. I was watching a cooking show where they made crispy polenta cakes and thinking that sounded good for breakfast. With crisp bacon, natch.

((whisper)), the good news is that while kicking holes in the wall might not be the best coping strategy, the wall seems to be self-repairing. Hope you're okay. How are your kitties?

I am having a pajama day today. That's what I am calling it instead of "Don't feel like getting dressed." In an effort to feel more myself, I am baking pumpkin-buttermilk rolls. But I still feel like...I feel out of juice. I have a therapy appointment this coming week, and I find myself partly thinking why bother even going because it's not going to change anything?, and partly thinking Duh, this is probably the best time to go when I'm not wrapped in silver lining with my stupid rose-colored glasses on.

You make fried grits like you do fried corn meal mush.
Make it ahead or use leftover grits. You take the left over grits, roll them into a cylinder shape in plastic wrap, refrigerate, and the next day - slice into thinish rounds, salt and pepper them, and fry in bacon grease - yum, yum, yum.
Some people put them in a loaf pan not plastic wrap to set.

Thanks, I've never had fried grits. I frequently have leftovers, though, which aren't the easiest to reconstitute. I'm trying this tomorrow.

All this talk of curb-worthy significant others makes me wonder if I ought to give up on dating entirely. (Which, okay, wouldn't take much encouragement--I *abhor* dating. I'm so sick of guys being nice to me for the sole purpose of getting into my pants. I'm a sex-positive person and all but dang. Not an object for another's use.)

Haha. Hey, just call Uber, it would be worth the money

I'm at odds with my H today for keeping making decisions (big decisions) on his own. I'm taking a mental note of your plan just in case

My daughter got invited to her first birthday party from a girl in her preschool class so I'm spending some time doing that today. Trying to keep my mind off things and it helps being out since I don't SH in public places with them around.

When I met my H almost 19 years ago at the ripe age of 21...even though he was 31....it was pure bliss. Lots of fun, going out every weekend, partying hard, large group of friends and lots of sex. Now we are just older, tired, fat, and totally ignores important matters...like finding a way to get our basement water proofed so it stops flooding every time it rains.

How big is the hazelnut inside of that?!
The giant one doesn't have anything inside it- it's actually hollow.

The thing is it was around £8 and looked pretty, but I'd rather buy a large box and carry out my uber important chocolate research.

heh well.... i'm getting my mojo back. when i started working at home which was exactly when all the overtime started and son announced he was moving out and I decided to leave therapy all at the same damn time (which I have not done yet of course, no surprise there haha) i stopped feeling my feeeeeelings and started eating them again and gained about 8 lbs back. BUT! since t and i got me feeling again i've started walking every day again and lost back half of what i gained so I'm almost back to the point where i can start losing again.
