Morning couchies. Got this strange looking e-mail I almost didn't open. Opened it and was an automated message from therapyportal.com reminding me I have an appointment with t Thursday. I guess this is a new thing for my t's office? I will ask her to make sure it wasn't hacked.

It's gonna be insanely cold today and tomorrow, they closed area schools even. I am shocked the T guy was even going in since it's PP. I'd stay home if I was him LOL

I will do some shopping and cash my work check while I'm out. i'm not making therapy even remotely exciting anymore, just a mundane part of life for a bit.

I also emailed 3 more last night, I don't care about anything but distance and insurance they take, so if I need 4 more sessions down the road, I will have options...or if this place is super far, it's in a different city, I can do one closer. I love not caring. Such a blessing for once

Upon first look I read the first line as:
H: Are you smoking hot?
(I was originally thinking that I would have responded “Hell Ya. But you’re not!”)

Yeah, but if he's PP, if he doesn't go in, he doesn't get paid. That's what my T has told me, that he'll still go in (and has recently) during a snowstorm if clients are still willing to come in. Otherwise, he misses out on that day's worth of pay. I think it's the same reason he doesn't generally take, say, all of Christmas week off. It's the same for me working freelance--I could decide I take Christmas week off, say, but then I don't get paid. While my H is salaried, so if he takes his vacation days, he still gets a paycheck.

Doing work in a bar/restaurant that's blasting 80s music (current selection "Love Is a Battlefield"). It's helping me take my mind off today's anniversary.

Another replied, wahoo! He's closer. Might go to him as well, might be easier to just not commit to a therapist... just see whoever as needed.

2 more women and 1 more guy have yet to reply. So we will see. My appointment today is in 3 hours. I think first ones are typically paperwork which wont be helpful at all. I need to cry and vent and cuss. I need to badly.

Could you just tell him you don't want to spend lots of time on paperwork, if possible? If he's PP instead of with an agency, he might be more flexible. Or he might let you complete some of it at home. Particularly if you're only planning to see him for a limited number of sessions. My T had me complete some paperwork before first session, then he spent first session basically going through my responses and getting my history/background/why i decided to come see him. But I imagine if I said I just wanted to jump into things, he might have been willing?

And glad another replied, too!
Thanks for this!

Idk how it works but I can ask ya. I know with my T that's wha we did session one was paperwork but it was also a bit over an hour. (eventually that became normal for us anyway)

Ya the other who replied is closer so I like that, kinda wish he replied first so I didn't have to drive so far in this cold

Good Morning Couchies! I'm just chilling at work. I did some paperwork for profit sharing, and some invoicing, and accounts payables, and now I'm waiting for payroll to come in so I thought I would catch up here on PC. I had my T appointment last night. I'll write it up in IST. Actually have an appointment in two weeks so that's not too bad. And PDOC in three weeks. I think I'm trying to get sick with something. My throat will hurt, and then it will stop, and then I'll be sneezing a lot or coughing, and then stop. It's the weirdest thing. I hope everyone is doing good. Lots of hugs if anyone wants one. Kit

I've been having something similar, where I think I'm coming down with something, it goes away, then seems to come back. Maybe you're trying to fight something off? I think that's what's going on with me. Hope you feel better soon!

Hmm. Appears that it works. I guess that's what the mentioned and tagged means. Well actually I don't know how to tag a thread but mentioned in a post seems to work.

I guess the new feature is called user tagging. LT did you get a notification or something that you were mentioned in the post?

Huh, I got an email when you quoted me, first time ever. Must count as tagging.

Yeah I got an email too when you quoted me. But I don't see anything in the profile. Weird. Gotta figure this new stuff out.

The tagging thing is a bit odd to me.

yes, got email notification. Apparently I have the option to turn on notifications on this page, but haven't so far. I guess it's like when you tag someone on Facebook?

I don't have facebook either.
I probably just will stop quoting others and merely refer to it instead.
