I always preferred either chocolate cake with buttercream icing or spice cake. I'm weird...

If I had ingredients for one I'd bake a cake on my lunch break but I don't have any flour. Or cake mixes. Cake sounds so good right now.

My Mom always makes me Angel food cake for my birthday because I'm not much on cake but I like Angel food.

ETA: the chicken I was planning to bring for lunch today turned out not to be gluten-free. I found in the fridge an Ensure protein shake (gluten free) my supermarket was giving out and I’m having that and baby carrots for lunch. Milk chocolate shake and baby carrots are an odd combo.

I had lentils for lunch. Of course. I did sprinkle a few cinnamon baking chips in them in an attempt to satisfy the I-want-cake thing. Interesting addition.

My wedding cake was chocolate cake, chocolate ganache filling and chocolate mousse filling, and real buttercream icing. It was so good!

That sounds so fabulous!! Mine was white cake with whipped cream frosting. Pretty boring but it was soooo yummy. I've never found another bakery that made whipped cream frosting so good as this one did.

I am not a huge cake eater - but if I am going to have cake - I like buttercream frosting. I like custard in my eclairs. I am not much of a whipped cream person in general.

I remember white on white wedding cakes when i was growing up - i have no idea now what kind of frosting it was, but they were the most delicious food i ever had. Sooooo sweet, thats probably most of it. Also just that they werent hostess cupcakes, they were actual real cake and frosting.

Yeah now i watch americas test kitchen and watch them put two sticks of butter and so much powdered sugar and whatever into frosting and i go into a cholesterol coma before they even finish the crumb coat!

Moderation, grasshopper, moderation. One piece of decent cake every so often is, to me, so much better than badly prepared or half-hearted cake - like substances more often.

This whipped cream frosting isn't like your nemesis cool whip haha it's not sweet really, it's just very creamy and light. I don't know how else to describe it.

More bad news...it looks like my Medicaid canceled me Luckily I go to a clinic that will only cost me $25 for visits and labs. Still sucks. Might have to switch my meds to the clinic as well.

Life sucks really bad right now.

I have had whipped cream frosting. I usually scrape it off the cake and just eat plain cake - which I generally prefer anyway.
