Definitely not making it up. I saw that I had to manually switch to default layout and honestly I’m getting a headache with the way the screen looks now. Or maybe I just have a headache not from the screen.

I just gave my sister and bro in law a TV I had that I didn’t need and asked if they would help H with the stuff in the basement but bro in law doesn’t want to help. I get it. Who actually wants to move furniture even for cash but come on man. I’m tired of helping people and getting s h i t on in return.

Jersey, there’s lots of local movers online—I mean not like Mayflower but guys who will load/unload trucks and storage units for you and do a professional job. I can imagine they’d do the basement. I know U-Haul links to sites that list them.

Might even come out to the same amount depending on time and tip.
Thanks for this!

Does anyone else have trouble understanding things their T says? Sometimes i struggle because i understand what each word means but when i try to understand the sentence i just cant do it. or maybe its the idea behind the sentence because i have asked my T to say things a different way or maybe its my auditory processing disorder.

I saw this really beautiful cat outside my T's house today. Picture doesn't do it justice. First time I've ever stopped to take a photo of a random cat but I couldn't get over how gorgeous it was.

@SlumberKitty - she's grown!

Gosh, she's so beautiful. Sending hugs to you and your feline familiars.

I couldn't. That's a big part of the kinda complex 'why' I had to quit seeing Leticia. I never could adequately explain here. Thankfully the gains I made in therapy are still with me and I'm starting to feel pretty good about life post-her. A couple of things have come up that I've handled without her that I haven't mentioned here and that has really boosted my confidence in myself. Long story though.

I shared my writing with him. It was incredibly intense for me. Anxiety, some dissociation, and tears. I have some real struggles with sharing deeply personal feelings with people, but he was lovely about it. He started saying something about having feelings for your therapist were normal whether they were familial or platonic or sexual. I was thinking "Whoa there buddy. Nobody mentioned sexual feelings here.", but it's good to know that he probably wouldn't be freaked out if I did develop some of those someday.

I am grading. I increasingly feel students and I do not speak the same language. I say “name a battle of the Roman civil wars” and they give me names of politicians. I say “name one of the three tactical stages of development in the Roman army” and they name officer positions in the army.

Actium and ... I don't know.

I know that Scipio Africanus greatly improved the flexibility of the army by allowing maniples to work independently, but I couldn't name the stage before or after this development.

"Quincunx" and "Tortoise" are formations.

Therapists know that sex is a major source of anxiety and wish their patients would talk about that more.

This is pure speculation, but I think they may be attempting to win you over by displaying that although they don't know the answer to the question, they know unrelated trivia. The intention might be to make you think they must have paid attention in class or studied if they know politician names or officer positions.

Of course, I could be wrong. I can't say I've ever had the balls to attempt this sort of maneuver. But I do know how the minds of my confederates work, and I also know some professors are very eager to award points wherever they can find an excuse to do so.
