Couch 193: The Aurora Borealis Couch

I make photo albums each year for my kids with their photos.

The rest- I look at them once in a while, but I delete all but the best ones, so if I take hundreds of photos on vacation I've deleted most of them, especially the near duplicates, by the time they get onto my computer.

I also transfer photos I like to my work computer and put them on rotation as my desktop background. Sometimes I'll background what I am working on and there will be a sunny outdoor camping photo, and I want to quit my job and go live in the forest. Then I look out the window at the rain and come to my senses.

In such a bad place right now...any hugs welcome. I suppose this is what I get for talking to my H about things that are missing from our relationship and that could make it better...

I have a lot lacking in my marriage and made the same mistake as you a couple of years ago. I cannot talk to H about anything - except stupid stuff like TV shows - nothing serious.

I have a pdoc appointment tomorrow that is urgent because I've been in a terrible place and H hasn't even noticed.

All this to say I understand and ((HUGS))

Straight marriage is an odd concept to me. I never could figure out why so many of us lgbqt wanted it except for financial reasons.

What makes gay marriage any different? It's still two people who can have problems....??

There are a lot of downed trees in my park from heavy storms we had last night. I love to look at them - kind of scary but safe because it is over.

((LT)) It sounds like you were trying a looking-forward conversation about what you need now and it turned into a blaming-back one. I'm so sorry.

I am really quite glad T can't see me right now. He would be so disappointed in the garbage I've become. I was making progress with him, building my confidence, becoming more assertive and just like that, I am back to being a push over who hates myself.

A couple of bonuses of the day: the weather was absolutely perfect and we walked about 4 miles so I got my exercise in!

I know right? Especially that one with all the angles on the right side. I took that from the (very high) balcony of the BOC telescope building, we had to climb up this really high spiral staircase inside the building to get up there. It was a little scary seeing the floor through the metal steps. I made myself do it though. I admit my right hand was on the handrail all the way up and I used my left hand to grab the next step up each time. I was almost crawling up the steps haha but I did it.

I am not going to give in. But I am pining.

I am sympathetic. I imagine it will take awhile for the cravings/urges to go away

Today was actually the first time I got urges. I’ve been looking at it as a challenge, but today I got cranky about it.
