The cat broke into my room and woke me up by climbing on my head, purring by my ear, and generally making me a giant cat toy. At 4:30 am. Really?

Welcome to my life. I won't let my cat lick my face when I am awake so he does it while I am asleep, I know because I woke up with something pulling on my hair and he had my hair caught in his mouth.

Morning couchies! I feel so good today physically, swimming the last couple days after work was just what these old bones needed. Even the very short amount of time I swam... I'll go later today too after it warms up some, I tried like half an hour ago but it's only 75 degrees F out there right now and that was just too cold for me haha! It's supposed to get in the high 90's today I think I saw, so later on will be perfect.

Hugs and headnods all around as appropriate.

I’m playing the “what did I eat yesterday that caused a reaction” game. Everything was gf or something that should be gf that I’ve eaten before with no reaction.

I have taken the cbd vaping plunge. If nothing else, it gives me stuff to fiddle with. I used to love smoking hookah and all the fiddling it involved - and then it started making me violently ill. I know this is more like pot than hookah but my mind went from vaping to bongs to hookah.

Wise words from the book we’re going on a bear hunt. “You can’t go over it. You can’t go under it. You can’t go around it. You have to go through it. “

I get the running away from the hard stoof, so I’m not one to talk, but I think there’s just stuff you can’t outrun. Eventually you just have to face it. You don’t realise how strong you are, until you look back and see how far you’ve already come.

I am in deep trouble with new cat. I shut her in the study while taking my economics midterm (she was already napping in there) because it’s proctored online, went to let her out 90 minutes later, and she has been scolding me nonstop since (5 minutes or so). Even refused her favorite treat in preference for scolding.

ETA: maybe she’s scolding me for the question I got wrong: “of course in that situation the equilibrium price would decrease while the equilibrium quantity would remain ambiguous! I thought any idiot knew that.”

Do you have a brand of cbd you would recommend for extreme insomnia?

Sorry, I just use eliquid with nicotine. If you find a good one with CBD, I should probably check it out, too.

It's been a busy week. I taught a PSAT camp all week with incoming students, managed to get a summer cold, celebrated all four May birthdays in our family Thursday evening, and took my husband for a morphine pump refill.

I've been corresponding with my last therapist this week with how to proceed with my husband. He's developing early onset dementia possibly. It's been apparent for a few years, but we've reached a point where it's time to really figure out what is going on. Memory problems are one of the side effect/symptoms associated with his neurological pain syndrome. That is probably what is going on. Now what to do? Our therapist has been extremely helpful in directing me toward the right specialists and outlining the probable steps we'll be going through as we get this assessed and treated. It was nice to catch up with him; I hadn't run into him recently. He has been consistently supportive and caring of our family.

I fly out tomorrow morning to Tampa to score AP essays next week. Packing for two climates has been an adventure: outdoor in the 90's; indoor apparently sub-zero. LOL! Lots of layers.

This cold has, of course, hit my airway. Asthma has kicked in, so I'm about to cough up a lung (I'm a cougher, not a wheezer.) I contacted my doctor and he loaded me up with meds to try to knock this out. I really don't want part of my trip to be a tour of a local ER. We'll see.

My son heads back up to college for two summer-mesters. They are giving him free room and board due to his high GPA, so he'll get some of his core out of the way. Music majors have a hard time squeezing in their core classes with their crazy music course load. He'll also be working with the head of music education because he's been asked to be her teaching assistant next year as a junior. Quite a recognition for him. They kind of love him up there. He's an officer for several different ensembles and music organizations as well. He's going to be a fantastic teacher when he's done.

Today marks two years since my mother passed away. I've been okay, probably because I've been so busy. Oddly, June 1 seems to be an important day in my history. My sister's bone marrow transplant was also on June 1. And I got my initial acceptance into the chorus on June 1. Thank you Facebook for the memory reminders.

haha yeah ain't that the darn tootin' (the bolded part). I got the reviews back from my group-mates in my poetry writing class, and one of them was talking about how I seem to be confused about myself and that i sound young. Hmm. (The prompt was to write a poem "I Am From" in the style of a well-known one that each line pretty much starts like that.)
