Unfortunately, Teresa is making the cake. It'll be ready in 8 hours or so.

I think therapists think that clients want their opinion - I told the one I hired just not to talk - her opinion did not matter to me in the least.

My mom actually called me today and updated me on my grandma. She's not in very good shape, and is apparently not going to be returning home to the farm but to rehab if she makes it out of the hospital. She's currently septic and has pneumonia, and is barely eating or drinking. I told my mom I had a dream last night that she died, and apparently my mom had a similar dream last night. I'm irritable and upset today but I refused to call my t this weekend. I don't know if that's going to seem like a good or bad thing to him tomorrow.

Maybe Teresa is making excellently superior root beer without taking Neha's shortcuts.

I think the Couch needs to host a root beer tasting. And pizza, of course.

I was horribly disappointed to find out that horehound candy, described in the Little House on the Prairie and other books I read when I was little, tasted like root beer which I despise. It was a disappointment I have yet from which to fully recover.

I think maybe I will take the appointment tomorrow - if it doesn't get cancelled. C wants to go visit home, and if we do that, she can go see the old therapist.

No need for math: Teresa likes her root beer hard and her pizza dough well-aged!

I adore root beer and ginger ale, the spicier the better! In fact, it isn't summer until I have a root beer float and a tomato sandwich!

I'm guessing stopdog is not a fan of sassafras tea, either?

Am I tormenting myself by telling myself that exT didn't actually say I can never come back? Am I just setting myself up for diasappointment? Maybe I should go back to trying to think about never going back, as intolerable and unthinkable as that is.

Every summer, we make root beer floats with our exchange students. I always have them taste the root beer first, and have orange sodas available. Typically, they either love the root beer or hate it. Many of them have said it tastes like medicine or cough syrup.

Also I often have to tell them it’s soda, not beer. I had one student in particular who was horrified that we were putting ice cream in beer. And giving it to our children!

At Harry Potter World in Universal Studios, they have butter beer, which is also not beer. I didn't realize this at first and didn't want to taste it, because I hate beer.

Our puppy is a disaster dog. She's destroyed the dog beds, eats walls, loves making confetti out of papper, picks on our other dogs, pees everywhere, etc. We do feed her well, twice as much as the other dogs. And she has tons of toys and bones. I even bought special toys that allow her to tear them apart and put them back together without actually destroying the toy. And we have a variety of other toys: tug-o-wars, balls, squeaky, rattle, crinkly, soft, hard, varying colors. She only does it during the day whenever we're not around. Seriously, we leave her for 5 minutes and something is destroyed.

I don't know what to do with her.

Sounds like it's related to her being left alone, could that be? In that case maybe get her used to being alone for longer periods of time by increasing the time intervals that you're gone might help.

Also, does she get enough activity? Does she play with her toys? I've seen multiple dogs that did much better with the destroying things part when they were active enough before their owner leaving, like if they went jogging before, something like that.

She plays a lot of tug-of-war with the other dogs. We don't take them for walks because at least the other ones get enough exercise from playing. I'll try wearing her out more. Thanks.

Eta: I don't think it's because she's alone. Even when we're with her, if we're not paying attention, she'll destroy something. And after she does, she'll hide under the bed and won't come out. Since she is constantly destroying something, she's under the bed a lot. I think we need to block her out so she doesn't get under there.

It just sucks because at night, she's so sweet and loving. She always curls up next to my H or me to sleep. And she gives kisses and brings toys to us to play. She never destroys things at night.
