We talked about his upcoming vacation and how I can't seem to keep the connection and feel forgotten after too many days without contact. He said he doesn't forget me at all and thinks about me every day. He just sent me an unexpected email with another movie recommendation. I feel so thought-of right now.

Aw, that's so nice of him! Hope that will help you feel the connection. I had a session with my T today, and though he's not going out of town till the week after next (I'll see him Monday and Thursday, then he's away for 10 days), I realized after session that I was distancing myself from him. I was talking about stuff in session but not really letting myself feel the emotions. Or connect to him at all. Just emailed him about that, as I don't want to waste next week. Or the end of August, when he goes away again. I feel like it takes me a session to feel reconnected after he's back, then I'm OK for a couple sessions, then start thinking about his next departure and pulling back (he's away for a week a month this summer--I think last summer he was only away one full week and then maybe a long weekend or two).

What if one of your clients was consulting another lawyer in the middle of a case?

You've worked hard for an acquittal but "This other guy can get me a plea bargain."

Is it mean to be pleased that the ex's new girlfriend isn't as pretty as I am? I feel I am being shallow. She probably has a more loving personality though I probably meant attractive I don't think I am pretty

That’s what a wondered. My son had it once as a teenager. Fairly benign, but not pleasant to look at for awhile. Seems like the rash itself lasted a few weeks.

I don't know what to do. If I allow myself to think of exT sometimes it's quite overwhelming but if I don't think of him it all comes out in dreams. Damned if you do...

Doughnuts were MADE for breakfast. What other meal would they be?

I mean, might as well say, “there should not be doughnuts.”

When I first moved from the country to a big city and had my first encounter with bagels I kept calling them doughnuts and I still think of them as sandwich doughnuts.

Why do I keep getting hurt and ending up in the same situation? Do I need therapy? I don't want to. Why can't I just be at peace. Why won't life just leave me alone.

I accepted my new job offer for no overnights and more $$ per hour.

My current company (I'm supposed to work one more overnight weekend) offered to match my new pay for one more weekend. I accepted even though I'm not sure I want to work the weekend of the 26th. It's hard to turn down $$ though.

I can't see another T through the other scheme as they use the same free sessions and you can't have 2 schemes accessing the same sessions so I said I would see this T for another session to see if we get on better he might have his room situation sorted out by then.

I had something like that on my neck, went and hauled *** to my dermatologist, and in my case it was poison ivy.
I am actually extremely allergic to poison ivy - to the point that if I am exposed, I become hideously unrecognizable. Last time it happened, it wasn't even due to the leaves touching my skin or me transferring the allergen to my face from another area. No, I'm a special type of allergic where if someone mows over or otherwise does something that disperses the droplets into the air, my eyelids swell shut and my face is so swollen and riddled with hives that I am completely unrecognizable for days. I basically look like the elephant man, but worse, and with oozing.

I actually do have a lot of experience with my allergic reactions, having lived in a heavily wooded area with all sorts of creepy crawlies for ages. I've had plenty of spider bites and tick bites, the former is what I think the PA thought these were. I just don't think so.

Is it a hard and fast rule that you are disqualified from starting a new Couch if you have someone on your block list?

Yes it part of the community rules as the people on your block list cannot partipicate in a thread of this nature. One that's open to all users. You can do what I do and remove people from the block for the duration of the couch
