Maybe they're jealous.

Doesn't Zumba involve chairs, or is that just for the silver sneakers people at my gym? I'm waiting for them to become like the Geraldo Rivera show.
Thanks for this!

I have always thought of zumba as more stompy which was the part I thought you were going for

not sure? the couple of videos I watched were more like aerobic dance. didn't particularly look stompy. I'm looking for something where I'm in my body and aware and being expressive? If that makes sense.

But stompy could be good too.

About once a year I try chicken sausages - which usually serves to remind me why I dislike them. This year's attempt was tonight.
Chicken sausages have not suddenly become more palatable to me. I made a pizza on the grill and it was delicious but the sausage was not the high point

I consider aerobic dance to be more of the stompy sort. I got the idea of you wanting stompy because of your description earlier.

Good on you Artie. There is no way ever I would try something like that. Of course the good old baptist in me was brought up to not believe in dancing period so there goes that. But good for you! I hope you thoroughly enjoy it! HUGS Kit

The NY Times just released a video exploring Bob Ross and guess where all the Bob Ross paintings are in boxes in a room at BobRoss inc. And the people in charge claim they have never had a discussion about selling any of his paintings. There is also only one authenticator of BoB Ross paintings and she looks about 110 years old. They need to pass this down They say they are not there to sell his paintings and they never will.
ETA some of Bobs painting are going into the Smithsonian permanent collection. The guy who wanted to buy a Bob Ross at any price still couldn't but he got to hold some

Ah. I get it. I do like stompy, but I used that earlier for stress relief.

This Belly Dance thing on the other hand looks so expressive, and learning new movements will force me to be in my body, to listen to my body, the stuff L thinks would help me, because I've gotten all up in my head again, and besides is something I don't know how to do, and would really stretch me as far as trying something new and stuff, I need to make myself try new things, meet new people and get more comfortable taking chances.

Just finished my reviews of my group's Week 7 poems. I'm sad that it's almost over! July 23rd is the last day and when our final portfolio is due: our Poetic Statement, 7 final edits from poems we've written during the class, and a video of us reading 3 of them. This week's last part is due Sunday night, then we have until July 23rd to finish our portfolio.

Trying not to think of exTs wife as I said in another thread I discovered on Tuesday that she was really sick and he nearly lost her. Which is stupid as I have never thought about his wife much at all. Not consciously anyway I am just jealous I guess

In the "Does my husband ever really pay attention" department:

H comes home tonight a little after 6 and asks me why I'm not working. I tell him I am working tonight but the overnight shift.

Him: I thought you took a job with ABC company - why aren't you there?
Me: 1) I took a job with XYZ company 2) I had to give my current job two weeks notice, so I don't start until the end of July 3) I just accepted the offer yesterday so there's no way I'd be starting today
Him: You took the job with ABC company located in ((gives location for my job with XYZ company))
Me (Shaking my head): You half pay attention to what I tell you

Thanks, BCM. I guess I'm just shouting at the universe--I'm really struggling with the desire to SH and I won't be able to see my T until next Friday (I last saw him on Monday) and it sucks and I wish I wasn't the sort of person who needed my T so badly.

Hugs...I feel you on not wanting to be the person who needs their T so badly. I kind of fell apart while mine was away last week, and he goes away in a couple weeks again. I did schedule with his backup T for that time, so hopefully that will help.

What’s a Poetic Statement?

Like this?

“‘For I''---so I spoke---`am a poet:
`Human nature,---behoves that I know it!'”

(Apologies to Robert Browning. Or maybe he needs to apologize to us.)

In this class, a Poetic Statement is thusly: "Your Poetic Statement is a 2-3 page, double-spaced formal essay that expands on the work you did in the reading and discussion sections of this class. Focus your energies looking closer at poems you loved reading and your own process. This statement should speak to both your reading and your writing experimentation during this class"

And she gave a bunch of questions to ponder on while writing it. I haven't started mine yet.
Thanks for this!

So I have opened the last lone bottle of wine in my fridge and have almost finished the first glass. I am as yet unable to let go of the stress and worry about my son. I want my house back and I feel guilty about that. I am still not sure I want to be married anymore and I feel guilty about that especially because I still love h. I'm so utterly confused. My head is in a stupid place. I want to go wail and cry on L's couch some more. But I also don't want to go there anymore again. I don't like being in my head very much at the moment. H is out on a job, son and gf are out somewhere who knows where, probably drowning their own sorrows about not getting the apartment (they were supposed to hear something by this evening not that I have heard boo about it since they left to check mail at their current place that they aren't living in anymore.) I know I'm just being a big baby. I know it. And I want L! Dang it all. This wine is yucky, I won't buy this brand again, so I won't be getting drunk tonite, alas. I probably won't even finish this first glass it's that yucky. Why am I not dealing better with this stuff?! Why? Why am I so damn broken?!

Why does any of that mean you’re broken? Why can’t it just mean you’re human?
