I only watched an hour of Grantchester last night because I had to be up early in the morning for work (went in an hour earlier than usual) and I don't have a DVR. So I didn't get to see what happened to Sidney. =(

I'm super tired. And I miss T. Both my former T who hasn't emailed me since April despite the fact that I've emailed her. And I miss current T. It's like compounded! T squared.

No worries, Kit—looks like PBS has the whole episode online.

So, I now have the original stone back from my T (traded in the other one). I brought it up with like 5 minutes left and said part of me wanted to confirm that he was really OK with me having a different stone, but that I'd assumed his offering it to me meant he was. He said that was correct. I said I kind of debated whether I wanted the original one back or a different one. He pointed out a couple in the office that he has a connection to that I couldn't take, but said any other one (including the original one) was fine. So I grabbed that one and said I'd see if it felt right, and if it didn't, then I'd have time to swap it out before he goes away 2 weeks from now. I returned the one I had to the sand tray where I got it from.

I also asked if he'd be willing to handwrite me something, and he asked if I meant like a sentence or two of encouragement. I said yes, he asked if I was sure I wanted something in his awful handwriting? I was like, "What are you talking about, you have really nice handwriting" (he's written a couple things for me before, one as part of a homework assignment. He said he wasn't sure what to write, and I said I didn't mean for him to do that today, just sometime before he goes away. And that I'd also wanted to give him time to make sure he felt OK about doing that, and he said he appreciated that. But I got the sense that he's fine with it, just needs to figure out what to write. So, we'll see...

I thought it was very interesting. They kinda followed the Prince Harry / Megan Markle story, but it also kinda echoes the Wallis Simpson story. Then the other part of the story was about a sleazy golfing real estate tycoon government official with pouty lips and rounded posterior... boy, who writes these things? No worries tho - i dont think The Base watches PBS.

ETA - for a minute there, i thought i was writing about Law & Order!

Have used Amazon Prime Day to buy a ring video doorbell. I don't have an existing doorbell to wire it to, but it claims to run on battery power as an alternative.

Hey LT. I asked former T to write me something of her choosing a couple of times when she went out of country to teach. I found it really helpful to have that tangible bit of her. I like the stone idea too. Former T and current T don't have any stones in their office. HUGS Kit

So glad it went well LT. My T usually replies to email when he is away for training (the majority of missed sessions) but I try super hard not to call or email when he is away with family. I may need to try having him write something.

I have both a grade-grubber student and a stress-puppy student this summer. I'm trying to decide which is worse.

Going with stress-puppy for now. She told me she's a perfectionist and therefore I can't put her under any pressure.

Scylla or Charybdis. I usually dislike grade-grubbing the most. Stress puppies are annoying as well, but I figure their stress is not my problem and I don't let students stay in my office for more than 20 min at a time so I don't catch their stress.

I don't like sand. The idea of sitting in sand is extremely unappealing to me.

How is that your problem? She better get used to it because the rest of the world ain't going to coddle her. Maybe suggest going to the campus counseling center for help with that?

I don't feel well. My stomach hurts and my eyes feel dark. I feel lame and losery. God isn't talking to me much today. I feel alone and crappy. I feel like the life has been sucked out of me. I think that is the AP. It leaves me being a shell of a person but if I lower the dose then my depression which is already like a caged tiger comes roaring alive and tries to kill me. I want to lay under the weighted blanket and chill on my bed where it is soft and away from the world and just zone out but I don't want to wake up tomorrow feeling this ******
Possible trigger:
My head feels like cotton. I feel like nothing matters and I feel like everything matters.

Maybe therapy is a good place to find your anger and T is a good person to practice anger on?

She's an online student in another state. Older than me, with a family. So I think it may be too late.

About to see T in a few minutes. Never did call him this weekend. I'm not really sure where my head is at today so we'll see what I end up talking about. Baseball game this evening with my daughter. I'm hoping we don't get rained out.

My H started seeing this one therapist at our clinic for anxiety. He needed to see the guy to get referred to a Pdoc. The guy won't refer him! He wants him to do some sort of asian dancing thingy (I apologize, but I'll butcher the spelling it I tried), which my H would never do. The guy wants my H to stop eating cheese and pasta. My H is Italian. Yeah right he'll stop that. So my H thinks he's fine now H says he'll see one more doctor for a second opinion. If they say no to meds, then he's not taking any...
