Since I had that super -emotional tearful session on July 11 I have managed to lose back 4 of the 10 lbs I gained after surgery, even with vacation in there and all the anxiety. Lots of walking helps with both I guess... I have a feeling thursday is going to be another tearful one...

Lol! If only work would give me a free tiny house that I want. But I have it pretty good living at my parents. Free food. Free laundry service. My Mom cleans everything. I rarely have to cook. My Mom even cleans my bathroom. My parents make it really hard for me to want to move out. When I stay with friends, I'm like, this is not like home.

One of the families that I met with last week just texted me and told me they would like to make me an offer and asked if they can call at 8:30pm tonight.
They didnÂ’t call my references yet. (I asked my refs earlier today if they heard from anyone and they said no) so I guess whatever the offer is will be contingent on a background check and references. IÂ’m really surprised they want to make an offer prior to doing that stuff. Normally people only make an offer after calling references. Well, I guess I just have to see what they say when they call. Maybe it will be a good offer. I wonÂ’t however accept less than what I know IÂ’m worth so it has to be a good offer for me to take the job.

Let me know if they give away houses. I will apply immediately. All the work you do in that place-they should give you a house!

As long as they don’t try to low ball me it should be okay. They were very nice (upon first impression) and it seems like they would treat the selected person well. I’ll know at 8:30 when they call.

Oh, the job also wouldn’t start until September so I would petty much have to fish for work like I’ve been doing for the rest of the summer.

@Jersey 4 All the work you do with children has to be a zillion times harder than the work I do! You deserve the house! And like a billion dollars

What about the family you don't like? Could you work for them for a month?

By the way, I have no idea what the going rate for nannies is, but could you raise your hourly rate, especially if it's fewer hours?

The family that is going to make an offer will need full time when we start. At least 40 hours a week. The family I don’t like also needs full time-but I have already have an excellent offer from them. I’m already kind of making the top of the range for the area I’m in. I could probably wiggle another buck an hour out of someone, but not really anymore than that.

My Sister is an assistant preschool director at a Christian Preschool and she makes like $15 an hour (despite almost having her doctorate--she finishes school in Sept or Dec I forget). She works really hard and then goes home to her own five children. Yeah, I have two cats. I barely can take care of myself and my two cats. I definitely couldn't take care of 5 children. Although her oldest is 17 and the second oldest is 15 so they help with the youngers 11, 6, and 2. But what my sister makes is ridiculous. I think she should easily make $35 to $45 an hour because a class full of little children is crazy hectic.

Actually I thought my masters would help me make more money but that really hasn't panned out that way. Friends keep telling me to go for a doctorate but I'm like, I have enough student loans right now as it is thank you very much. But if I ever win the lotto or something, I'm going to go back to school and be a vet or an architect.

It's amazing how much difference a day can make, or the difference an email from a former T can make. I feel so much better than yesterday. Like magically better. From in crises to almost feeling "normal" I hope it's not some sort of manic trick of the brain or something. I've never actually been manic that I know of, but it's weird to feel happy and hopeful. I like don't know what to do with myself. Besides, obviously, spamming the couch!

I just went for my second check-up post hysterectomy. As some of you know, I had endometrial cancer. They found a polyp and removed it for biopsy. There's only about a 3% chance it's cancer, but I'm angry and sad and overwhelmed anyway. I have to wait a week for the results.

I went back up to the 10 mg of Abilify. I couldn't take the anxiety increasing with the decreased dose. Maybe I'll taper off another time, when I'm not under so much stress.

Har har.

geez obsessively checking my grades to see if prof has graded my poetic statement yet feels almost as ridiculous as obsessively checking for a hoped-for response from L. ha. (not that i've emailed her or anything. that might have made sense or something when i was so gripped by anxiety.)

I have no idea how she makes it. Half of the time my brother-in-law isn't working. I have no idea how she is going to pay off her loan. I have no idea how she manages with five kids. But somehow she does. And she lives in a good part of California, like a wealthy part. And the amount of money the parents of the children pay for the children to go to preschool is ridiculous. You would think that they could pay their teachers better. But IDK. She wants to move over to the school side where she can make more money but for whatever reason it hasn't happened. Maybe it's her degree. It's something to do with education but I don't remember what it is exactly.
