The school related stuff is heating up with orientation duties starting soon. I think classes start in a couple of weeks. I really do need to figure out exactly when I teach and get some materials prepared.

Wireless keyboard at work died on me overnight one night and I still can't seem to throw it out. I periodically check to see if it works again. It wasn't that old, it was one of the cheaper ones. Maybe simply because it doesn't make sense, I can't let it go. Sounds like a familiar story.
Just a thought, but check your USB port. My wired keyboard quit working a few weeks ago until I changed the port it was plugged into.

LT - is it possible he saw your sobbing as a demand/tantrum sort of thing and decided to not capitulate so as not to encourage that as a method of getting him to change? I have been re-reading some books by those guys and it is one approach some advocate taking with a client.

Hm, that's possible... I mean, it wasn't meant as a tantrum at all. But perhaps he saw it that way?

OK, think I got everyone in PMs. Just FYI, will be heading out in a bit, so will get back to everyone later. Thanks for reading and the support! Even if you reply to my PM and say I'm way overreacting by being upset with T--I just need perspective.

Is it too late for me?

Without reading it, it sounds to me like you are done with him, for whatever reason.

Hugs, LT. I'm interested too but probably wouldn't have any helpful thoughts, as embroiled in transference or whatever it is as I am myself. I'm sorry his response was so hurtful. I hate when L so totally misses the mark....sometimes I just hate the therapy relationship as a whole just the way it's set up I guess. Like... oh I dunno.

I have absolutely no focus today.

Don’t know what he said—I’ll read it if you PM me—but everything is about the client when it’s therapeutic. I guess I still don’t see why his standing up is therapeutic for you.

I have two chickens I want to cook on the smoker rotisserie for tonight and I am looking for some new marinade to use that only needs what I already have on hand. It is harder than it sounds to find something new, tasty sounding, and not require me to go shopping

I wish I knew the ingredients my son uses for his baked chicken, it is sooo good. He doesn't follow any set recipe just wings it for his marinades. But I know he uses all kinds of different spices and things, he's a much more adventurous cook than I am.

I had a Rear Window style dream about No. 3 last night. I was in the Jimmy Stewart position and able to see into her apartment.

I have plenty of searches/pinterest/reddit, cookbooks etc.
It was more me just complaining rather than needing a solution. I have a couple of very good ones I can use - I was just wanting something new that sounded both interesting and easily doable with ingredients I had on hand.

Therapists do all seem to belong in an alfred hitchcock movie, don't they. Or EA Poe poem

I cant even imagine. My idea of variety is canned pear or canned pineapple. This is not the life i thought i would have.

She kept coming to the window and peering up towards me like she knew I was watching. Clearly I put her off her dastardly plan.

I haven't dreamed of L in awhile.

Last night in my dream I am a young girl and my dad is impatiently instructing me on how to control my little brother. Somehow then I am current age and h keeps talking and I can't hear the video. I keep telling him to shut up and he won't.

(I woke up feeling hatred for h. Just lovely.)

I feel depressed today and want to SH. I see T on Friday so I'm trying to tell myself that I can make it until then, and also keeping her opinion in my head that I'm not giving something up by giving up SH but that I'm gaining something (it would help if that something is concrete but I don't think it is). Definitely wanted to just stay home today and stay in bed but I made myself get up and come to work. Sometimes having depression sucks because everything is a fight with myself. Fight to get up. Fight to come to work. Fight to have motivation to work. Etc.

Oh, I had to take Amelia (baby Kitty) to the vet today just for a checkup. She was due for some shots and some other tests (luckily it's all covered by the insurance I have on her). I had to take her in at 7 AM. And she has to stay there all day. She was crying so pitifully in the kennel I took her in to go to the vets and I feel so horrible about leaving her (not that staying with her was an option). This must be akin to what parents feel like when they drop their child off at kindergarten. I hope she's going to be okay and I hope they treat her nicely and I hope my baby isn't in any pain today because of the shots.
