My daughter is Snapchatting me lyrics to Christmas songs because she is trying to torture me. Anyone up for a rousing rendition of 'I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas' this evening? I've got the lyrics if you've got the melody.

Admittedly it’s one of my favorite Christmas songs.

And I’ve got the alcohol necessary for that.

Sounds like a great doc! I'm morbidly obese and about twice a year pdoc wants to talk about it at usually a terrible time. Last time was when I was mourning a terrible loss. My t was so ticked at him. Its weird because normally he's great

They sometimes have a knack for bringing up stuff at the wrong time. This is the only doc I have whose great about it.

The life coach that I saw 2 times kept trying to get me to tell her how much I weigh.

Re weight - my gp had wanted me to lose 10 lbs. At my last visit, i think i lost 2. He was properly impressed, so he lived to see his next birthday.

I've been body shamed by a lot of docs, however, they have to admit my job is very physical and I hold my own when brawling with patients. Sometimes a patient will take a look at me and say "I'll do whatever you want - I'm not going to win a few rounds with her" .....lol.

Yes. My job obviously includes a lot of physical activity too.

I picture you as strong and fast. If I were a patient I wouldn’t mess with you either.

I had a big realization today. It might sound stupid and obvious, but it’s like this just clicked in my head. No wonder it’s been difficult for me to build up my self-worth when I have my husband telling me bad things about myself frequently. I never fully made the connection because it’s not like he says those things every single day, and the things he does say aren’t as bad as they could be. But I think I’m seeing that hearing even minor negative comments repeatedly over the years is impacting my self-worth and in some ways preventing further improvement of my mental health. Hmm.

In an hour i am going to see my gp to new scripts i am also going to mention that exT lied and i am kind of conflicted because she kept repeating his lies but i think she is aware of the lie. If she is i dont feel like i can trust her but trust in my world is shaky with everyone. My exT lied newT hinted that exT might be lying i dont feel i can trust these people.

PSA - if you have a trader joe's nearby - the brandy beans are tasty. I am not a huge chocolate fan and usually wouldn't advise anything mixing alcohol and chocolate together -but I find these tasty. Real alcohol though - don't give to children.

Summer, that is a huge insight.

I live with an emotionally abusive husband and I felt like I was just invisible (hard to explain). I hope the insight helps you

I am supposed to be studying. Instead, I am looking at kitten pictures from the cat rescue. They're so fluffy! And the little twitchy whiskers and tiny paws!

Crotchety old cat is going to be so aggravated. But it'll be good for him to have young 'uns about.

L talked to me yesterday of me possibly needing more support. It's not fair! She hasn't seen half the **** that T has. Most of you know how bad I can get. I'm doing good now. I'm on my meds, going to go back to school, I thought I was doing well in therapy...I made it through T's maternity leave. It just really hurts. I see her tomorrow, but I kind of don't want to. I don't understand what went wrong or why she thinks I need more support.

I managed to complete all but one participation post for the week in class and the week just started yesterday. Sounds like motivation, but feels like I just want to get it the heck out of the way so I don't have to think about it this next week. I should go to sleep but can't seem to calm my mind down. I would take a bath, but can't do that for the next few days either and a shower doesn't seem that relaxing right now.

Morning, Couch.

Weird therapy hangover today. Bringing big things out into the open is hard.

Did she give you an idea of what that would look like?

It could possibly mean increasing the number of sessions for example.

Don't fall for it! Those big eyes are what the overlords use to lure you in with.

I think it could work if you can give old cat a private hideout to escape to.

Yay well done on the weight loss.

See all of your exa-masizing (new word!) has paid off, from when you first started only around 2 months ago just by taking baby steps.
