I do care

R always told me that I did have a good memory for remembering things. I used it for random quotes mainly.

It's hard and daunting for anyone to move normally. I leave next year and despite only having a teeny studio the idea of moving everything makes me anxious. It took me a looong time to settle and for this place to actually feel like my home, which only happened around last year.

Anyone would be daunted at leaving for a new country- so it's not just your baggage or your fault. It's not so simple as it seems- it's moving to a whole new culture, having to open bank accounts, travel cards and even finding out that you can't get your favorite item sometimes.

I was reading a school news update. Someone actually named their daughter Beany.

What would you like them to do about H? Do you mean that he wouldn't participate?

I googled just in case their surnames also came up in that order- it's safe!

This doll came up:

He didn't participate last time we had in home years ago for my oldest and his ADHD. He just sat there and said nothing every visit. I want him to have to do more therapy or anger management classes...something than 2x month therapy. That's probably wishful thinking on my part that they can help him stop these behaviors that caused CPS to be here in the first place.

Today I took the plunge and told the owner of the company that I work for that I've been dealing with some pretty serious depression. (I didn't mention the attempt though). But I told her I am on medications and going to all my appointments but that it has been really hard lately. I told her the subject of hospitalization has come up and I didn't want to blindside her. She was really supportive! She said she struggled with depression for 14 years before finding the right medication that really made it click for her. She told me I am not alone. She said if I have to go to the hospital, then that is what I need to do, my health is more important than work. She told me that if she has to, she will fly out here from NY to CA to cover while I am in the hospital. I did tell her I would try to give her notice if that was at all possible so she could prepare, but that in these situations, there isn't always a lot of time for that kind of thing. I also talked a bit to the controller and (didn't tell her about the attempt either) but she was really supportive too and told me that I'm not alone. I feel.....relieved. If I do end up needing to go to the hospital for suicidal thinking and get hospitalized, work will be taken care of. And my employer won't be blindsided. It feels better that they know. I haven't told the GM or the other boss at the CA site. I just am not that close with them, but at least someone at my work knows what is going on with me, and I wasn't criticized for it or anything like that! Almost couldn't have asked for a better response. HUGS Kit

I called and talked to the caseworker privately and asked him some questions. He said he wants to talk to me separately, and that they'll probably be requiring my husband to take a domestic violence class. And have me talk to their DV liaison.

UGH. Just feel like breaking down and sobbing but I can't cry. Not because I'm at work either. I almost don't care about that, I just CAN'T cry. I want to, but the tears won't come.

And I have my work holiday party tonight. Crap. I don't want to go. I mean, I do, in a way, but I don't want to have to keep pretending that everything's great longer than 8 hours today.

I think it's really good that you called and that they listened to your concerns. Seems like it would be hard to make much progress without addressing that issue.

My psychiatrist graduated me from 3-month check-ins to 6-month check-ins since I’m down to one med (Pristiq). Yay?

And I did something to my back picking up my computer bag, which wasn’t even heavy. It’s still sore.

But at least it was the last day of classes.

Glad you were able to talk to him privately and that you'll be able to talk to the liaison. I wonder if your H will be willing to listen and learn in the class?

Hurray for the last day of classes and being down to one med. Sorry about the back pain.

It’s almost 8pm. I haven’t had dinner but I’m not hungry either. I want to eat even though I’m not hungry. I need to shut my brain off.
