I’m sitting in the movie theater getting ready to see A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood. I’m hoping Tom Hanks does that remarkable man justice.

Les is more! (That's Les Nessman, from WKRP.)

Its like eating - the signal that tells you that you ate enough doesnt flash immediately. And you can get a second wind for just about anything. If its running away from a tiger, youre in luck. If youre eating pie or walking on a sprained ankle, youre effed up. Im so wise!

What if you’re running away from a tiger on a sprained ankle while eating pie?

You know i hate to "blame the client", but in this particular case, i gotta say it seems to me your just asking for it. You should at least be wearing a squirrel suit!

You love to blame the client. It is your default stance.
But eating pie and flying in a squirrel suit would be the most fun.

Make it your title. Ex-hankster the Everwise.

Will an owl onesie do for a squirrel suit?

I just had a completely dehydrated dinner, an onion broccoli sausage egg white scramble. I am ready for the apocalypse, as long as we still have running water and electricity.

This is why I don't ask myself WWUD? I might end up in a squirrel suit running from a tiger on a sprained ankle while wisely eating pie and making WKRP jokes and casting blame all in one go.

I recently opened one of my many unopened moving boxes that was labelled "Books". Instead it contained two cast iron skillets. One of them I bought years ago. The other one belonged to STB-ex's deceased mother. Am I morally obligated to return this to him or am I free to donate it to Goodwill? If it matters, I have one very heavy box packed full of all his clothes and another box that has other items, including all of his documents that I could find and things he might find sentimental. My lawyers said they could help me figure out how to get his items to him somehow but I don't know how yet. If the skillet wasn't so heavy, I'd be more inclined to just add it to his box, but it's a cast iron skillet.

Did he cook with it? Is he sentimental about it? I am sentimental about the lid to my dad's iron skillet, but my mother got rid of it (just the lid) after he died.

I think you can do whatever you want with the skillet. Stick it in the box of his stuff even though it’s heavy, throw it away, donate it. You get to choose, no moral obligation to any particular choice whatsoever.

I don’t think there is any moral obligation concerning the skillet but is there legal obligation? Maybe check with the lawyer just to make sure. If the lawyers say there is no legal obligation then maybe just donate it if that’s easier than getting it to him.

Today’s agenda is to stay at home all day. No more money needs to be spent this weekend. The Mr. Rogers movie was good. Tom Hanks pulled it off. I actually felt a little warm and fuzzy watching it. Mr. Rogers kept me company on many lonely days when I was young.

All bundled up!

Couch 208: The Practical Couch

I’ve only been skiing a handful of times so I’m still pretty bad. Accidentally went down an intermediate run the first time and instantly regretted it (didn’t fall, but did make my legs work harder than they’ve had to since last time I went skiing—I am not in very good physical condition).

Never watched Mr Rogers. My parents didnt trust him. He wasnt a comedian. They didnt trust kids clowns either, but a grown man talking to kids was trouble. So you see why i have trust issues!
