I went to my pdoc appointment today where I saw the owner of the company. I saw him once before as a joint session with ex pdoc, so he remembered me somewhat. He also had 2 student interns with him.
They moved the practice 2 floors down in the building, and were still putting up glass walls and doing construction.
I thought it went well, and got my med refilled plus a benzo for anxiety.
Possible trigger:

I'm seeing him.again next week. Itd be nice to continue to see him instead of going through other pdocs that keep leaving but not sure if that's an option.

I have a free evening tonight. I hope I don't just go home and sleep. That's what I've been doing because it is much less painful to be asleep than to be awake. A friend invited me over to her house tonight but I'm chicken and don't feel like going. She has a lot going on, hubby having surgery tomorrow, Mom who had surgery is staying with her, three kids, school work, etc. I was like, you don't need a depressed friend who is hallucinating over there too to add to your plate. She tried almost convincingly to get me to come tonight after work but I don't think so. She doesn't need that right now. I'm trying to rotate talking to my friends so I'm not talking to the same ones every day. Not that it's a bad thing to talk to friends, but since I'm talking to them because I need support I think they might need a break from me! Heck, I need a break from me, how can I get that? Maybe I'll get my parents to watch a movie with me tonight. That could be good. Or I could maybe go to my other friend's house. And just chill for a while. But her roomies are kind of strange. I didn't get to see Pastor T last night either because of the flu that he has. So now I'm not seeing him until next week. I feel a little under-supported but I'm glad I'm talking more to friends about stuff now than I ever did before.

No - not at all. Not even a little bit concerned about the virus. I am completely of the mindset you can't outrun fate (see any greek tragedy) and everyone dies of something. I don't tend to get worked up about the possibility of catching something. I think if you are going to be a doomsday prepper - you might need to add in a supply of water as well.
I do tend to have supplies of some stuff because I buy non-perishables in bulk when it is on sale. I do it to save money.

Are you in a high risk area?

No, doing nothing different at this point. I'm a teacher, so honestly, I spend my life with walking germ factories. If I really spent much time worrying about such things, I wouldn't be able to work.

I am probably in the higher risk category for complications for any of these kinds of illnesses, but all I can do is my common sense precautions of watching myself for the start of illnesses and contacting my doctor if I get ill. I get my flu shots, etc., but I get other illnesses that aren't vaccinated. Thus is my life.

I work in a hospital that has the resources to deal with COVID-19.

I'm exposed to so many germs that this hardly registers on my radar.

Anyone ever get told to "be well" like at the end of a text or an email? What exactly does that mean?

BUT I think it is smart to stock up on things not just because of the disease itself but because of its ripple effects on supply chains and the economy. Even if fatalities end up being low, people will still get sick and be unable to work or be affected by panic and there will be shortages.

I stockpiled lots of gf food back when I got diagnosed gf and still have a couple weeks’ worth around. Heyyyyy....black market!

I go straight into Monty Python "Bring Out Your Dead"

Has anyone listened to Stephen Fry read Mythos? I am enjoying it. I am only about 1.5 hours in (I listen to it while walking my dogs and have only done 1 walk so far). I liked the podcast by Paul Vincent (Myths and History of Greece and Rome) better.

I just got home from belly dance class. I am going to go collapse into my bed now. R (instructor) is really making us work hard this semester. I think she's trying to impress the classical dancers in the class this time. I still love it, but I am pooped!

In my house this is the laundry call.

Pretty sure the hamper occasionally squeaks out, "I'm not dead yet." Teenage boy laundry can get pretty bad.

Session was helpful, although things have been coming to the surface lately that might be better under wraps.

Yay, my health insurance check cleared in time! That makes me feel very competent. Plus i dont have to drive out there tomorrow to pay it. What a mess! All because i wanted to add dental and vision, it put me over the limit of what what medicare is allowed to take from my old people social security. So now the insurance is going to take it from the bank, hopefully starting next month, but i have to make sure that happens too, so im not in the clear yet.

Think IEP meeting went well. I put the Dr. T stone in my pocket during, as an extra source of support . Mostly glad it’s done with. And that D is generally making progress.

(I don’t have the best history with my D’a annual IEP meetings. Last year the had to participate by phone because I got a bad migraine like an hour before, then felt guilty about it. A couple years ago, it was the morning after I’d learned ex-MCs wife had died, and I was emotional and hungover. I had to step out partway through due to getting emotional while having a panic attack. Had a bit of a migraine today, but I partly credit that to some weird weather we had last night mixed with stress.)

ETA: IEP is “individual education plan” and includes accommodations for my D being on autism spectrum plus educational and social skills goals.

I'm excited for lunch today. It's a sandwich, as usual, but it's from Subway. Usually I just make one at home but I had Subway last night so I just ordered an additional six inch sandwich for today's lunch (since I wanted a different kind than last night).

Yay for self-care, Kit. I've never had a Subway sandwich, but I keep hearing about them.

HUGS.

My favourite tuna mayonnaise/tuna salad accompaniment is red onion, but the rest of the world seems to believe sweetcorn is superior. This is the reason that I want to try Subway someday.
