We each get to order two shirts from Lands End for work and have the logo put on it. I'm getting two identical shirts, blue button down with the logo on the left side. Long sleeved of course. Woo hoo. Free clothes, and shopping on work time. Yeah!

Not kidding about the arboretum. Wish I were.

I remember that several weeks ago, @chihirochild posted that she had gone skiing. I remember feeling that I was so impressed. I was so low at the time that getting out of bed before noon was a great accomplishment. Or limiting myself to a reasonable amount of alcohol.

I have now mostly abstained for four days (just one glass on two of the days)... and I’m going skiing tomorrow!

Thank you, Zoloft.

That's awesome, Blueberry!

The assorted physical illnesses I've had over the past week and a half (GI bug that was possibly actually the flu, based on H's symptoms from same bug, followed by a cold) have helped me to cut back on alcohol and shift my habits, which I can hopefully sustain going forward. Not at the point of skiing yet though!

We have to take candidates out to dinner but the university only pays for the dinner of the candidate and one person. What a rousing conversation that would be.

On the up side, it's been two days in a row that I can both stand up and bend over so hopefully my back is recovered.

Not sure if I mentioned this already, so excuse me if I did. My pdoc left the office unexpectedly between my last session 3 weeks ago and one I was supposed to have last week. I got a call from the receptionist the day before my scheduled appt telling me he's no longer there.
When I went into the hospital last month, they took me off one of my meds put me on a new med. I saw my pdoc when I got discharged, and told him that they changed it. At my last visit with him, he asked me if I needed a refill and I said yes, only to find out when I to pick it up that he refilled the med I was on prior to the hospitalization. I still had some left of the med from the hospitalization, so I was going to mention it at my new appointment last week and have him fix it. That's the appointment that never happened. I told the receptionist that last week that I needed a refill of the correct medication, but apparently pdoc never charted that it was changed so they won't refill it without me being seen. So tomorrow I'm meeting with the owner of the practice, but I think ultimately they're switching me to one of the female pdocs in the office.
It's been such a you know what storm lately with all these people leaving, finding new providers that I like or fit. I'm mentally drained. I've seen this pdoc before with my pdoc when he was supervising a session, but I don't know how he is by himself. Granted i think this is only for one visit but I have a lot of anxiety about it.

Did a little coronavirus prep today. Got more canned food and enough diapers to cover an army of baby butts. I already work from home and barely leave my house anyway, so we should be set there. Liz is set up for teletherapy, although I'm not sure about Amy. I am trying to get an extra 30-day supply of my meds, but the pharmacy is being a little squirrely about it. Just need a little more cat litter and I think we should be set to hibernate for a while if we need to. Anybody else doing calm, low-grade preparations? I am kind of a worst-case-scenario person by nature (hello, anxiety!), so my house is usually well-stocked with the essentials anyway. I apparently have FIVE things of laundry detergent, which seems excessive already.

My current driver's license photo graces me with a double chin... honestly I think they have a filter on their camera at the DMV to make them come out as unflattering as possible! (at least, in my case anyway!)

I'm working on this week's writing class assignment on a break between candidates. It's more interesting than some of the others:

Quote:
the first sentence must be something that happened to you, followed directly by a sentence containing a pretty big lie; what follows should be informed by the pairing of these two sentences, and given the fact that the big lie falls up front, almost entirely fictional.

Oh that's how you roll. As your soon to be doctor I say you can have as much fun as you want but safety first.

I was actually looking up a few people online yesterday.

Have you picked out what you're going to wear?

I sway between you have to die of something and a little bit panicked. But not panicked enough to stockpile things i think we have very few confirmed cases in my country
