Hugs, Jersey, that's really scary! Even if she didn't see you, she shouldn't have been going 50 mph. I'm guessing she was texting or something. I'm glad you weren't more seriously injured, though be sure to take it really easy with the concussion and give your brain time to rest. You're welcome to post here at any time, of course!

I'm sheltering in place as much as possible, only sticking to the essential things. But I think it's unsafe and stupid to be staying over at my family's multiple times a month right now because of what H did. I think he should be the one to stay at his mom's during this whole thing, yet I really don't need him or his mother saying I'm keeping the kids away from him during this especially with CPS still involved

Hm, that is really complicated...Could you check with the CPS caseworker to see what they recommend? I suspect there are lots of other families with similar situations in their caseload, so maybe they've figured out how to handle it? I agree that you shouldn't have to be leaving the house when he was the one whose actions led to the separation...Not sure if your state has a shelter in place order, but I suspect that could affect things (legally) as well.

Speaking of furious, @@, you might want to read this article that new cat posted.

Yeah, I think you're right that it's a bit of a ploy, sometimes with some gaslighting and/or defensiveness and/or avoidance of admitting fault mixed in. Because mine will say that he can be frustrated or annoyed with me (and tell me), but that "it doesn't threaten the relationship," and he wants me to understand that. What he means is that he won't abandon me over it. Which I have come to accept. However, it can still threaten the relationship in other ways.

Like, after the big rupture in August/September, it took a long time for me to feel safe asking him for certain things, like I kept trying to be what I thought would be his ideal client for a while, fearing rocking the boat. I'm over that now, and I think our relationship *has* gotten stronger and we both have greater respect for the other person and their needs (this is me saying that last part, not him). But it took time and a lot of work and trust on each of our parts to get there.

Apparently there is a minor epidemic among dogs, who are so happy their people are home for quarantine that they’re spraining their tails from overwagging.

This would never happen to a cat.

My cats go on the back porch to get away from me and the dogs. If we come out - they make a great display of standing up and turning away from us before lying back down on the table out there.

Jersey - sorry to hear about your accident.

I'm sorry I've not been around much. If I'm being honest I've been on two other forums mainly just talking about you know what.

Surprisingly things with R have also been going well for a while- it feels different kinda warm and fuzzy which sounds stupid and he even said today that he did miss me when I wasn't there.

RE chocolate: I placed an order for 5 bars of chocolate from Seed & bean for my sisters last week, but have two bars of Green & black Butterscotch and Ginger untouched if anyone wants + even a box of toffifee.

It's a exceptional situation though.

For now maybe H could stay with his mother's. You don't have to take calls from her. Do you have a family lawyer who could help guide you right now?

Was bound to happen--forgot to record my Zoom lecture class today. Need to re-record all 75 minutes of it (the students have the option of coming to "class" at the usual time or listening to the recording; it runs about half and half).

Are you allowed to just upload the lecture? Your students could watch when they want to on x2 speed.

Our school has just sent us the slides.

There is nothing to upload because there is no recording to play at any speed. Bupkis. Nada. Zip.
