Maybe it's just one of those things where you just need more practice. Maybe there's stuff you could watch online.

You mean 12 am = midnight.
And it is... 12 pm = noon.

Pm means post meridian which means after the half.

Love you Una O.

I made this mistake for 28 years before only realizing this year that I was doing it wrong all along- but I still write it the wrong way around in my diary as it makes sense in my head.

Yep I emailed R at night, but didn't send a text as I didn't need an instant reply but I had used the past tense which he was concerned about.

As I'm always posting on PC- I found my dear T post from the last time I met him back in august on the 24th. He also said that he was proud of me, that I'd go far and he was so happy to see how my brother and I had blossomed like flowers from when we first started to work for him.

He told me to come back before I left again if I wanted to talk as he'd be in but I didn't go back.

a.m. is ante meridian, before noon. Like antebellum means before the war. Meridian refers to the midpoint in an arc, in this case the sun's arc across the sky.

Whereas antibellum means anti-war. Or maybe anti-beauty.

I actually get to teach Latin this fall and am looking forward to it.

I am going to watch Borodin tonight and Hamlet. I cannot abide Boheme. I really am not a fan of Puccini - a decent aria here or there is not worth enduring a whole opera by him for me.

I have a weird love/hate for Glass. I used to listen to Glass through headphones when I'd write papers way back in the day to mask the distraction of the sound of my typewriter. Yes, typewriter. There was something about the incessant patterns in this music that I found really good for concentration. And I can't really shake that sense memory hearing his music ever since. But I liked Akhnaten, too: J'Nai Bridges--another interesting mezzo. And that countertenor was hypnotic. And I liked the set designs.

I'm not crazy about Boheme, mostly because I've heard it too many times. But Pavarotti and Scotto? Got to listen. But I prefer Turandot or a modern Butterfly if I'm going to watch a Puccini.

Uuuugh I am so bored. And my upstairs neighbors are blasting really annoying music. I can't hear it with my noise-cancelling headphones on but I'm still annoyed.

I still have my college typewriter. I loved the sound of it. Bridges and Costanzo were both remarkable but my crush is on Kamensek.

I have to finish revising my coming of age story and submit by midnight and loan dog and new cat are being pests.

Solution: find a video for cats and dogs on Amazon prime ("Chipmunk vs. Corn Cob: Season 1"). They are *engrossed.* And maybe now I can get some work done.

Best part is, it has subtitles...

Coming out of lurking to introduce you all to my new Kitty Pearl. Couch 214: The chihiro couch
Coronavirus has us all at home like everybody else. So I have been hanging out on forums a lot more lately.

Things are going pretty well for me. I graduated from college in February, still looking for employment as a Social Worker.

I am still seeing my T usually once a month or once every 2 months. So, I will have my first teletherapy appointment with him this week. Not looking forward to it, wish it could be in his office. Even though I don’t post anymore I do keep up with the couch. Hang in there everyone!

H jokingly asked if I was going to need him again tonight like I had to ask him to come over in the morning because of what happened. I love being teased because of something he did that I'm still having to deal with.

Awake again. Damn the night shift.

I’m also worried because I have a zoom session at 9 and I emailed something especially vulnerable to my T on Friday night and I’m afraid he’s not going to handle it gently enough. He gets stupid about things sometimes.

I hope your T handles it well, chihiro. There's always the chance that he'll buck the trend.

I admit that I haven't really done much with it. I have done some more painting though, with a Paint Nite thing Saturday afternoon.

Crappy session. Got all jammed up. Total waste of 50 minutes.

Now I have to tolerate the rest of the day.

Why loan dog is A Very Good Boy, a story:

One of our morning walks goes through the neighborhood across the street. There's been a lot of chalking in the neighborhood by bored kids--like turning sidewalk blocks into stained glass windows, writing HOPE or Have a wonderful day. Loan dog and I are always very careful not to step on them.

But there is one message I find irritating and therapisty: "Have a growth mindset." It's been fading in the rain but you can still read it. After weeks of avoiding it, loan dog this morning plopped himself down and pooped right over "growth mindset."

I had to pick it up but it was so worth it.
