Couch 214: The chihiro couch

I just attended this weekend's online fellowship service with my drumming group, I'm starting to get used to this zoom thing! We all did air hugs at the end before signing off. Very calming and nice way to spend an hour on a Saturday afternoon.

I have seen it. She is very hot. And so is Bebe Neuwirth. It was a joke on victor/victoria - that is why Robert morse and Tony Roberts were dressed up from Some Like it Hot. Oh and Elaine Stritch
I highly recommend watching it.
And if you have been watching the Met Opera's free operas -Le Nozze Di Figaro is on Monday. One. of my favorites

Tony Roberts--that's who that was! I recognized Morse but couldn't figure the other one out. I adore Elaine Stritch; Company is one of my favorite musicals. I have seen some of the Met broadcasts. I'll probably watch Figaro, even though I'm more of a Verdi fan.

I'm feeling very angry and frustrated today. I got a letter from our CPS caseworker that said Trigger for SA and neglect

L is starting to get me into radical acceptance. I feel like the concept tells people that they're in denial or delusional, and that they're choosing to suffer. "They" also say that anger is a sign of resistance, yet it's also said that anger is a part of the grief process, and that going through grief is radical acceptance... How can both exist?

I'm not looking for answers or even a discussion per se. Just venting about my questions/confusion.

Ditto Stritch. I love when she shows up on Law & Order.

I wish i had seen Company when it came out. I needed that emotional knowledge. Im mad that it existed in the SEVENTIES and nobody told me.

I don't even know who to contact to help me dispute it. I'm lost and confused

Did you see Aida with Leontyne Price last night? And tonight is Luisa Miller. Almost a Verdi fest. They have done a lot of Donizetti (not my favorite but not as annoying as Puccini) as well.

Hell, yes. Her swan song in the role that was made for her. I skipped Luisa Miller. I liked Anna Bolena, but skipped the other two; I can usually take or leave Donizetti. And I was surprised that I liked Marnie as much as I did. Modern opera tends to leave me counting the minutes till the final act. I doubt I'd rush to see it again (though you've got to love an erotic aria to a horse!), but it kept my interest. I liked the costuming, and it's nice to hear a mezzo in a lead role for a change.


I'm planning to watch the Borodin, are you? The sets are supposed to be wonderful. And I will absolutely watch Hamlet on Tuesday--I'll watch any adaptation of Hamlet. And Boheme. And Cavalleria Rusticana.

I feel like a little kid tonight missing my exT because I could call him on the weekend and have some help over this. But I don't have T2 until Thursday and T1 until Friday.

Finally off the night shift. My sleep schedule’s totally wrecked but I’m just glad I don’t have to work for a few days.

I had the same experience you had, chihiro, tonight with a hotline. 4 sheriffs knocking on my door at 3am. Ugh.

Ugh! I am so so sorry--what an awful mess, huh?

I'll probably text T2 on Monday and ask him if he has anything sooner. If he doesn't then I'll ask T1 if he can call me to check in briefly.

I am not a fan of most modern opera either - although I didn't mind 27 when I saw it and I have fallen in love with Akhnaten and watched it 3 times - and I am really not a fan of Glass at all but Akhnaten may be the best production of an opera that I have ever seen. I am going to watch Borodin tonight and Hamlet. I cannot abide Boheme. I really am not a fan of Puccini - a decent aria here or there is not worth enduring a whole opera by him for me.

I emailed T last night at 12pm. He replied back with a text.

We exchanged two more emails which did help.

Woke up at 5am. Took a bath. Made a nice breakfast. Had a long walk in the early morning sunlight while listening to the Wailin' Jennys. Bought some iced coffee at one of my favorite little shops. Went grocery shopping with minimal hassle.

Overall a lovely morning. But now I'm at a total loss for what to do with myself for the rest of the day.

Intellectually, I understand the process of juggling. I cannot get my arms to take on this intellectual understanding.

R works from home. I saw his wife and daughter walking past 10 mins before my session in my first year of therapy- as I always have a set place where I wait outside.
