Does anyone remember a few years back there was a commercial for an antidepressant where there was a woman constantly weighed down by an elephant on her chest?

For some reason I feel weighed down by that elephant right now. I have this unshakeable sense I’ve wasted my life. And yet I’m pretty sure I haven’t.

*goes to get drunk with chihiro*

:My father is having people over tonight for a bbq. Totally not social distancing at all. My oldest went outside and told them, "Hasn't anyone heard of social distancing?!" I'm keeping my distant. I don't care if our state lifted it's restrictions at the beginning of the month, I don't want to have a bunch of people over at my house.

Good luck, chihiro! And I hope the hangover passes quickly.

@@, I keep thinking about your toilet paper comment. 24 rolls will last you a year?! What am I doing wrong?! Or do you have a bidet like the classy ivory tower type you secretly are?
Thanks for this!

Geez, are you the new unaluna with your cross-examination of bathroom habits?

It’s Scott 1000 paper (which I grew up on, so it’s my preferred brand). So right away that’s 24 real rolls, not 12 like it’s Charmin or AngelSoft or Fluffy or Be Kind to Your Butt. And it’s only me here. Average Americans use 20000 sheets/year, 1000 sheets per roll = 20 rolls/year. I’m above average!

Our apartment in Greece has a bidet. Not here.

I agree that the Scott lasts way longer than any of the random variety of brands I've been stuck buying since this pandemic started.

Ah, jeez. My roommate and I are pretty sure she has bedbugs. (She has little bites on her waist and arm and ankle--they don't look exactly like the bedbug bites I've seen on my patients but she has scratched the hell out of them so it's hard to tell what they looked like originally.) We can't find any live bugs or eggs or anything but still. Since she's been maintaining good social distancing, it seems like she probably got them at the laundromat, which apparently is a thing??

This is going to be a real pain in the @**.
