Couch 216: The Baseball Couch

For some reason, T1 changed the time for my session tomorrow to an hour earlier than it normally is without any warning or discussion. I just got an email reminding me of the time today and that's how I knew. Guess an hour difference doesn't matter, but a heads up would have been nice.

Though all I came away with from talking to the trauma T today was that it's pointless in even trying to work on anything right now. He didn't say that but it's what my stupid mind twisted it up to mean.

I know this is going to sound stupid in the grand scheme of things but yesterday I went to the hair salon- but I feel like I was over charged. £255 for the whole thing. Which is more than my weekly rent.

At no point was I told how much the full thing was going to cost and he also added a lot of extra things I wasn't told about or agreed to before it was carried out.

I didn't create a fuss whilst I there, but this combined with everything else has triggered me badly.

I messaged R yesterday- asking for a session or on friday but later said never mind, but I honestly haven't been able to sleep. It's not even 4.19am UK and he has a text from me.

I reactivated my facebok account to send them a message and also noticed T's wife has posted wedding photos for their anniversary. It's nice to see him happy.

Reminds me of the TV show dallas.

Someone told me not all T sessions would feel like their helping, but it's microscopic change.

Yow, lemon! That had to be a painful surprise. Do you at least like it? Is your hair very long or thick, like did they spend more on bowls of dye? I googled whats a fair price, thats not a beauty school price, but yeah i would say its in the ballpark for double process. Double process isnt cheap. Thats why i always did it myself and why im half bald now but hey.

I pay about 100 pounds ($140) for a haircut and root touchup. I also get a scalp massage during the conditioner phase for that, which is worth almost half of that price. 255 seems like a lot.

I love you Una. I do like, but I feel like it's become tainted. He mentioned that I had long hair and volume which he wished he had. It seems like a stupid thing to get triggered by and to bring up in therapy. It's everything else bubbling in the background . I only went last year to the same place- but before then I haven't been since I was a kid. If I don't go for two years it will be £10 a month which makes more sense in my head.

I messaged the guy on facebook saying that I felt that I was over charged.He saw it at 6am but I don't think he will even reply. I won't go back and hopefully after 6th year I will be leaving this place will in either Wales or Ireland.

R texted saying he had a slot at 2pm.

I still don't have an exam date for ENT and I'm scared they'll spring it on us with very little notice.

Lemon, it sounds like you're already going through a lot with the pandemic, exams, and trying to set different boundaries with your family. Feeling subtly cheated would be really frustrating in any circumstance, much less with the back-drop of all that. I hope you can enjoy your fabulous hair without dwelling too much on one hairdresser's lack of ethics. Being a broke student is so very hard.

I joined the video session with Amy at the appointed time yesterday. Apparently she couldn't see or hear me but I could both see and hear her, so I inadvertently spent thirty seconds or so watching her pet and talk to her dog (who was lying across her lap) and stare off into space. She was in an unfamiliar environment, sort of on vacation, and it was odd to see her unguarded like that. I never really forget that she is a person, but it still struck me as oddly poignant to see her just sitting there, being a person.

Now my favourite author has died. (not due to the pandemic.)

I felt something similar seeing Dr. T pet his dog last week. It helped humanize him. And before, when I asked if he had pets, he confirmed they "had a few" but wasn't specific, like he wasn't willing to share that part (well, aside from the office fish). But then here the dog was, right in front of me. He even shared her name and breed when I asked (though looked hesitant for a second about the name)

Not sure what happened today for my session with T1. The email said 10am, all my appointments on the portal now say 10am. Usually it's at 11:15 and he'll text me the link right at the time to join. I've been waiting 15 minutes and nothing. Maybe it's an error on his part and he's still planning at the usual time.

I also tried to dye my hair pink last night out of the blue and didn't bleach it first. So it barely shows and already half rinsed out. Hmph.
