Thank you NP

I was actually thinking of that though!

I feel guilty spending in general even when I food shop. When I first came here I went mad with the make up and clothes. The past 2.5 years I've been cutting back.I tried to stop buying clothes and bought two items running shoes and gloves as I lost my pair in that time frame.

The last reading book I bought for myself apart from school books was in 2017!

Hey, Butterfly....long time no see!

Hope you're doing well.

R had said she would be on leave next week, so we wouldn't have a session.

Last session was...brutal, so she offered a session next week on a different day.

I accepted, but...she wouldn't have offered if she wasn't prepared to do it, right?

Wish me luck--I'm going on a date today! We're either going on a walk outside or a restaurant with outdoor seating, we haven't quite decided. Guy seems nice via Hinge (the dating app I'm on). Software engineer who has his pilot's license. I recommended a podcast (Mortified) and he actually took the trouble to listen to it so that's something.

Close to my tv chair, which is where i always floss. I remembered putting the 2nd pack there!

I got some sugar free soft caramels. More than 3 or 4 in one day and you will be very sorry!

The guy was nice! I liked him. He asked me to see him again and I said yes

Only problem is that we had two beers each with lunch so now I am majorly tipsy

My Animal Crossing island is having a meteor shower tonight, and I am absurdly excited. We're planning special snacks (jalapeńo poppers!) and inviting several of our friends to come to my island to see it.

We're still barely leaving the house these days, so I take my excitement where I can get it...

Ugh I have to stay up all stupid night because I’m starting the stupid night shift on Sunday. Done with residency on July 1st, it cannot come soon enough.

(We do all the graduation celebration stuff before our actual end date because people have to start jobs and fellowships and stuff right on July 1st.)

Eta - i am getting better at only eating if im hungry, and stopping when ive had enough. The second By which i mean, always making the correct portion. If i make too much, too bad - i havent figured this one out yet.

I've never baked monster cookies but I looked them up and they look delicious. I think I had one once as a kid, the bakery here sells them. I don't remember what I thought of it but I usually like cookies.

Thats the world i searched. Some would say pretzels or other weird stuff. And i just read today that the coffee shop where i had it (albeit 20 years ago) has closed permanently due to the covid. I dont ask too much, do i?

A guy on youtube showed me why ive always believed Post cereal is just a little bit better than all other cereals. That was literally their ad slogan in the 60's. Im crushed. But their raisin bran really IS a little better!!@

My mom used to make monster cookies that were similar to this recipe. They were so good. So I guess she can't say that I disapprove of everything she did as a mother.

I had never heard of monster cookies, but they sound delicious. I told H today that I felt like baking, so perhaps this will be the treat. I’ll see if I feel up to going to the store tomorrow.

No pay cuts at my uni but our Board of Visitors just gave our President permission to cut programs without having to follow the procedures laid out in our Teaching and Research Faculty Handbook that apply in case of fiscal exigency. So all those protections are out the window. No one's allowed to appeal, either. Here's hoping my unit's productivity numbers are not in the bottom fifteen percent of the university or I'm out of a job.

Realistically, I think our productivity is fine but one never really knows. I know our productivity numbers but I have nothing to compare them to. And so I'm still left feeling very anxious about losing my job.
