Yes, most of the jobs "added" were workers who had been furloughed in March when shutdowns began returning to their furloughed positions. Since they are eligible for unemployment, their return to the workforce counts as an added job. Had they not been counted, the unemployment rate would have been 3 points higher.

Also monthly jobs reports when first issued only cover the first half of a month, which is why they get revised so often.

My school has apparently programmed its LMS to do a little fireworks and confetti display when a student submits a paper.

Ugh. I wonder if there is a participation trophy?

Out walking earlier, I came upon this beautiful raven feather, in the little park near my house. It looked like it was about 12 inches long! I took a picture so I could work with it in a journey. I know it's illegal for me to bring it home, so a picture will have to do!

I feel guilty spending in general even when I food shop. When I first came here I went mad with the make up and clothes. The past 2.5 years I've been cutting back.I tried to stop buying clothes and bought two items running shoes and gloves as I lost my pair in that time frame.

The last reading book I bought for myself apart from school books was in 2017!
I've this guilt too. Hugs.

I am looking for a new T and contacted one but one of her reviews says she is unstable and unpredictable but there are only 3 reviews for her. I wonder what they mean by unstable and unpredictable?

Good lord. I hope my university does not get wind of this. We are constantly being urged to submit video clips telling students how much we care. That is annoying enough.

Not right now. They're about 9 miles away from my house at this point. It's just one more thing I guess. They've gone from 40% contained, back to 21% contained, back to 19% contained because the wind keeps spreading them and it's so darn dry right now. I go outside every night and look to see how much lower they have moved down the hills. I sit out there with my camera on a tripod taking pictures. We can see/smell the smoke from here.

Were they started by lightning or people? I heard people were being routed other ways on the highway because of them.

After almost a month of reopening, I’m feeling nostalgia for the early days of the pandemic.

There were fewer people out and about and no controversy about wearing a mask.

I'm sorry you're going through this with H. How long have you had the fever for? Could you call a relative to come to you if you needed extra care?

Just as well--I've been feeling really bummed out ever since session on Friday. I feel like T wasn't being forthright with me, maybe even like he was gaslighting me a little. And I don't feel like I can talk with him about it because I don't want him to do it even more. So it'll be good to be at work and be distracted.

Only trouble is that the new interns start soon, so it's going to be absolute chaos--new interns are fun and excited but don't know how to do *anything* so it's a lot more work for the resident.

A T Gaslighting any client would worry me. Have you tried any other T's other than this one?

That's very true and will also be me. In 5 years so far I've only taken blood three times. When I couldn't use a old fashioned mercury blood pressure machine the doc said "you should know this". Um not if we only did it once in first year. Come to think of it I've never used the newer ones too. My school is very good at drilling theory into us but practically I'm a fish climbing a tree.

Thanks Lemon! I'm feeling better this morning. I only had the temp yesterday (I know it's not COVID because my doctor required I get a test earlier this week before seeing me for pulmonary function tests).

I'm feeling less emotional and angry at H. He apologized (though I feel his apologies leave a lot to be desired). Since I never, ever cry - my bursting into sobbing freaked him out a bit so I think he felt bad.

I hope you can rest today.

In my head it takes the same amount of energy to be horrible to someone as it does to be nice. How long have you and H been together?

I'm wearing an old pair of shorts today and just sat down at my laptop and heard the seam split. Oops. No fair when I've lost back 10 of the 30 lbs I gained this past year since having surgery...
