Saw my psychiatrist. My demeanour was apparently so different, she asked if it's me (my chosen name - which she uses because I'm trans instead of my hated legal name) or another part.

I'm quite spooked. She doesn't mean harm but she's the 3rd person who can tell even when I myself can't, and that's scary. I know most people with osdd1/did are very covert. But I'm not, and it's terrifying because I could get hurt/harmed. It has happened before.

Hugs, QM. I mean, she is trained to notice things like that, so it makes sense that she would. I understand why it could bother you, though. Did she switch or increase your medications?

Yup, my Vortioxetine (Multimodal Serotonergic antidepressant) has been increased from 5mg to 10mg.

Review in 3 weeks where I'll also get my Depo-Provera shot.

Hope it helps you! Looks like that's Trintellix in the US (one that I actually haven't tried...maybe I should ask pdoc about it).

Check this out: Vortioxetine, a novel antidepressant with multimodal activity: Review of preclinical and clinical data - ScienceDirect

I'm also on 75 mg Amitriptyline. Not everyone needs adjunctive pharmacotherapy but it can be helpful.

I taped an entire season of a show I thought was lesbian themed and started to watch it today. I was wrong -very, very wrong. The subject matter could not be less lesbian themed if it had tried

Well, now I'm curious as to both what made you think it was lesbian-themed and what made it clear that it isn't (well, I guess heterosexual intimacy could answer that last one).

Meanwhile I had to read it aloud to appreciate the nuance. That's my degree, and I teach...go figure.

Our language is strange.

That is what happens when you are invaded every so often by a lot of others.

You don’t “hear” the words in your head when you read? I do, but maybe that’s just me.

For those interested, both bomb and tomb are Greek in origin, just one was spelled with the short o and the other with the diphthong oo (ou in the actual spelling). Comb is Germanic/Olde English.

I hear them in my head too, so not just you. Thanks for the etymology lesson. I was curious about that but too lethargic to google it today.

Hurting today. Like emotional hurt. It pretty much stinks. I don't know what it is about either. I don't know if my depression has reared it's ugly head or if it is something else going on with me. I just know that I hurt inside and I want it to stop hurting.

My Mom, ever the practical one, was so not much help last night. She was like, read a book. Color. Do a word search. I was like, leave me alone. I just want to watch TV. But nicer than that because had I said that my Mom would have knocked me over the head.

Everyone seems to be like, oh you're doing so good. blah blah blah. Then why do I feel so bad?

You've been through a lot kit with the loss of E. It makes sense you're still in a lot of pain right now.

I really want the cicadas to just go away now...anyone who doesn't live in the Brood X cicada zone, consider yourselves lucky... I mean, OK, the concept is fascinating (living underground 17 years), and they're neat at first, but then it's like "shut up and stop flying into my windshield and making it intolerable to eat/spend long periods of time outside." The decibels of them "singing" (mating call) together has been recorded as similar to a jet engine flying overhead or a lawnmower. And it's pretty constant during the day. Just mate already and be done with it! /crankyLT

Talking to my case manager tonight. I did two of the three goals we set. I hope she isn't upset that I didn't do the other one.

In the words of the song, Kit - 'two out of three ain't bad'.

I am in my own state of T induced limbo - I reached out on Saturday by text message, which is a mode of communication I don't usually use with R, and part of me is loudly wondering whether I've 'done the right thing'.

Hi Lost. I always second guessed myself when I reached out, except with former T who openly encouraged contact. You must have needed the connection. HUGS Kit
