Hey Guys! I got an appointment to go to the Animal Shelter on Saturday! 10 AM! Please y'all pray for me to get a cat that is cuddly! I really miss my Esther and I really want a cuddly cat. I only have one hour to pick one out I think. So please pray that I will know which one is the right one. I'm so excited right now. I wish it were Saturday!

I've been on it for so long I don't think so but you never know. But when I don't take it I feel like crap so I am kind of scared to go off of it. I never take more than prescribed but I think I am on a pretty high dose. I can definitely tell when I forget to take that medication.
Get the second opinion with a doctor on your insurance. It can't hurt. Might help you financially also.

Doctors aren't (or at least shouldn't) be offended when a patient gets a second opinion. It's a pretty common practice. Sometimes insurance insists on it even. My pdoc actually insisted himself that I get a second opinion at one point because he wanted to be sure he wasn't missing something. I really respected that from him. A second opinion doesn't commit you to a new doctor. You can even get a report with the 2nd doctor's suggestions for your treatment to share with your current doctor. Sometimes fresh eyes can be helpful.

Thanks Artley. I almost always think your posts are wise. Thanks for sharing your opinion with me. If my Case Manager ever sends me the right document with the psychiatrists that are in my insurance panel then I might be able to follow through on her instructions. She sent me a file for therapists, not psychiatrists. Some of them were like 2-3 hour away. I was like, that's not practical, unless of course, they do telehealth.

I'm so excited for Saturday. I want to meet all the cats in the shelter, although my parents probably want a girl cat, and that's okay with me. I want to get the cuddliest one they have. I can't believe I have to wait two more days! So excited.

I hope you and your new cat both experience love at first sight! You're such a giving person and any kitty would be lucky to have you and I bet they can sense that.

I decided to go swim after all just half the time, and I took it easy. Now I'm back home and just put a batch of banana muffins in the oven. Yum! I hate starting work at 5am but I have to admit I enjoy very much getting off work at 2pm. It's not even 5pm here yet and I'm feeling accomplished.

Right? And then there's the red eyes... But yeah, I can hear them in the house with the windows closed. Then I step outside, and it's like I want to put my hands over my ears because it's so loud. Thankfully, they should be done this part of their life cycle soon...

As kids we use dro see who could collect all the different cicada species the black ones ,the brown ones, the green ones with red eyes, the green ones with orange spots etc. we once put a few in the desk of our elderly nun who had to have an ambulance called because the shock of the bugs flying out of her drawer made her collapse.

Wow, I'd love to try that but with cashew nuts instead of walnut.

The staples here are chocolate chip muffins and blueberry muffins.

Someday I'll bake my own... no access to an oven as they're uncommon in homes here. Partner however has tons of appliances and an oven haha.

Ew. Okay una, I've a phobia. I basically freeze in fear and tremble while I try to psych myself up to whack them. Can't use bug spray as I live with cats.

A friend says using a spray bottle with soapy water is a lot more effective than bug spray.

I will get the occasional flying critter in here because of the always open balcony door. I sorta go into hyperdrive! I am all flailing arms and slapping magazines until its over. One time my mother went after a fly with a feather duster, and my SIL and nephew said, "What are you going to do, fluff him to death?!"

Made me laugh, thank you. Couch 228--The Wellness Couch (sorry, I'm having a really bad day.)

The allergy season just keeps on this year. I just sneezed and the cat who was in my lap huffed off like I deliberately ruined his nap
