It seems to be a widespread glitch, judging by the FB forum, which took me altogether too long to find. AFAIK they haven't acknowledged it yet.

Today has been Rough.

I remember having kimchi as a kid. Friend of the family was Korean and always made her own. It was so spicy! I’ve been afraid to try it as an adult.

I did a load of laundry this morning and got it all put away, and went grocery shopping this afternoon. H was out on a job early this morning so while he was gone I started watching Lucifer on Netflix. I really like it so far. The guy who plays Lucifer is rather charming I think. I have 4 days off work soon (my birthday weekend, I took my birthday off and then Monday's the actual company holiday) so am planning to watch a bunch of episodes!

I was afraid to try it too! Then i thought worst case scenario i can rinse it off. I swear it patched up my innards though. Like taking one of those tiny blood vessel zappers to it.

I emailed a new therapist I saw on Instagram originally. Her main thing is providing support with pregnancy, but she also offers hypnotherapy as well as general coaching.

I thought maybe a woman would be better for me. Despite being a woman too, I already know that I am deeply prejudiced against them.

My family would make our own, we preferred it milder with less sour and not too spicy. I remember a lot of trial and error being involved to get it "just right".

My friend makes a batch regularly as kimchi is relatively expensive for both our level of income.

Very cool, QM! There's a line somewhere in the film where GM talks about authenticity, 'it's not a New Age practice...' but I can't remember the rest of the quote.

Hope you are enjoying it.

I can't remember the in-between part of the quote haha!

The end was: "Authenticity is a survival necessity."

I think we got it between us. "Authenticity is not a New Age practice, it is a survival necessity." Thank you - I would have watched again, but I am on a course.

I don't like all the reminders either. I just want it to be over.

I still sent my dad two GIFs on whatsapp, because I felt guilty.

Diabetic cat was howling all morning. I thought he wanted fresh ice water (he likes it cold) so I changed that out and added extra ice cubes, still howling. H cleaned out the litter boxes since I'm working, still howling. I did notice when I got the ice out, he tried to get inside the freezer so I thought well is he hungry and not wanting his cat food?! So I gave him some shredded chicken and he chowed that down and has not made a peep since. I guess he was hungry and didn't want his cat food... I wish I understood cat-speak.

It does get better. It’s taken 20+ years after his death, but now I barely register Father’s Day. Birthdays are harder for me.

I don't know why I hadn't added Westminster dog show agility videos to my self care tool kit before now. They are incredible to watch - I hope to get the opportunity to see some dog agility in person at some point.

They love what they are doing.

My h has to get some more medical tests done including a liver scan. His liver enzymes are high (the numbers have doubled in 6 months) and he just had some other blood tests done to rule out hepatitis, which they ruled out. The liver scan isn't scheduled until 6/30 and I don't know if it's just psychosomatic because he's worried, or if he's getting worse rapidly, but he's been nauseous all day today. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if we can get him in for the scan sooner than the 30th, the place they do the scans has other locations in town so we may be able to. I'm trying to calm him down by letting him know that if the doctor thought whatever this is is urgent/life threatening, she would have sent him straight to the hospital for the test, instead of saying just get it done whenever they can schedule you. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow too and just ask her, what is she suspecting/worried about/looking for other than hepatitis which is already ruled out? I don't know what to think. I'm trying to research things and trying to help calm him down because
Possible trigger:
. Because of COVID they won't let me go in with him to the doctor or for the ultrasound. I'm doing my best to stay calm and not absorb his fears because if I go there we all know how I get.

I remember all the liver tests (ultrasound and blood) I had two years ago, after my enzymes quintupled within a year, that ended up in a diagnosis of celiac. It was not fun. But also, remember it could be something innocuous and manageable (like celiac). I hope you guys get answers soon.

thank you. i remembered you had celiac but didn't remember about the liver tests, my memory isn't what it used to be. he has always had stomach problems - so i wonder if it might turn out to be that? this is a new dr we're seeing now, so maybe this one is sharper than the previous one was as they have never even brought up his liver before. i looked back at his older bloodwork results and these have been out of range for awhile. this doc was concerned because of how they doubled in half a year. we'll see what happens. i'm thinking positive thoughts.

Was just going through my mother’s medical closet (yes, a whole closet) looking for a pill cutter when I came upon her collection of antique cups used in cupping therapy.

Hugs, Artie, I hope it's something manageable and not serious. That's a good idea to see if you could get him in for the scan sooner. And to find out what the doctor may be checking on.

12 days until I move 18 hours away (and stop living with ex-husband). Of course, this means only 2 sessions left with t and 1 appointment with pdoc. They've both taken great care of me for the past 11 years.
