Thanks, LT. I think you're right that they would have called the doctor immediately if it were something serious. It's a new NP he's been seeing and she is the best one yet, very on top of stuff, so I know if she'd been contacted, she would have called him right away. The pictures were actually posted yesterday, it says, so yeah, the dr would definitely have called him. I bet the report will be there later today.

I'm glad it made you feel so relaxed! I'll have to notice what L's wearing today. 2 weeks ago I do recall she was wearing a blue top, I only noticed the color just because it wasn't black! But she was wearing black pants, of course. It made me happy seeing her in a color other than her usual black.

I'm not wearing my typical 'therapy uniform' today either, I did end up getting a new dress, I wanted something more summery looking and I found a light blue knee-length dress with white/pink flowers on it. I rarely buy new clothes so this is a treat. It's a little bit luau-looking, but that's okay. I like it and it's a nice change from my usual oversized t-shirt and black leggings. And, h even said I look nice today when he saw it.

I decided to take Tuesday off of work because I don't want to have to rush home early from Disneyland. I have a 4 o'clock appointment with my case manager that day so I put an alert on my phone so I wouldn't forget. So I am going to end up with a four day weekend. I'm tired now so that's good. I can sleep in tomorrow. Niece is still staying with us. We are taking her out to dinner tonight. My sister comes back tomorrow.

Do you like sharing a birthday with a holiday? I would think it would somewhat depend on the holiday. Like Christmas might be a bummer because of the present situation, but something like July 4th or Halloween, it's kind of like a built-in party?

You're allowed to feel what you're feeling. Changes should be mutually discussed and agreed.

Is your T still allowed to provide therapy despite you being in a different state?

I didn't like it at all when I was a kid - because I was such a terribly shy thing back then, and my parents always had a family-reunion type bbq every July 4th - grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, everybody would come, my birthday was just a small part of the festivities, and I would hide in my room a lot. It was too much for me. When they would do fireworks in the backyard, my grandma bless her heart would sit inside with me every year and hold me on her lap, until I got too big of course then we just sat together, watching the fireworks through the window. I could never stand the sudden loud noises.

Now, I just say the whole country celebrates my birthday

Still have about 4 hours til my session, I've got my dreams and dream work all typed up, my notebook and book of dream-drawings on the kitchen counter all ready to go, and I even found a little black box (the dream involved a safe) that I will bring along in case I decide to try to work on that nightmare in a sand tray. Oh my goodness I can't believe how alive that dream still is. I got a little shiver just now thinking about 'seeing' it come to life in the sand.

Sand trays are very powerful sometimes.

Art- my birthday falls on Thanksgiving sometimes, and having all of the family around was a little overwhelming sometimes.


I have a son with a Christmas birthday. He likes it, extra presents!, and we celebrate Christmas without extended family so no crowd. After Christmas dinner is birthday time. When he was little he got to choose whatever he wanted for his birthday dinner as a part of Christmas dinner. A couple years in a row we had prime rib or roast turkey and the fixin's, and Frosted Flakes.

I am cleaning my office today at work since the big bosses are coming a week after next. I have a lot of paperwork and binders that belonged to the previous owner. So it is hard because there is a lot packed into my office. I threw away some paperwork that belonged to the old owner that I believe is duplicated in the filing system. And then I stored the rest in a box under the table in my office, next two two other boxes of stuff that belongs to the old owner. The GM wants the bookcase emptied but he needs to get with the old owner's son for that to happen (he works for us) and he will be on vacation all next week so that's not going to happen before the bosses come. At least it is against the wall and unless you are in my office you don't really see it. Other than that, my office is clean and tidy. I have Clorox wipes that I can use on the desks next week and the door handles. Everything else the janitor will cover. Kind of a slow Friday.

Bah again.

Today I was going to get my tires checked out (they look fine but the car says that one of them is low) and then go to the xfinity store to pick up my modem/router (I've been using n xfinity wifi hotspot for the last few days but it isn't especially reliable). However, now I have a fever. I'm fully vaccinated, and am fairly certain it is just a cold (I've had a stuffy nose for about a week, and while I get that is a potential symptom consistent with COVID, I have never personally seen a COVID patient who was congested) but given the current climate it's a crappy move to spread any sort of illness, even if it's not COVID, because whenever anyone gets sick with anything it is a big freaking scary deal.

I wanted to do the xfinity thing today so that BF and I can watch a TV show together tonight, but I guess I'm not going to be able to do that. We'll just have to see if the crappy wifi can tolerate it.

Further trouble is that they will only hold the modem/router for a certain number of days after the order is placed, but if I call and tell them I'm sick they might be a little more lenient.

I think Best Buy does curbside if you'd rather buy your own cable modem/router. The xfinity website has a listing of brands/models that work with their service. It also saves you the monthly equipment rental charge. Well, I mean, you're paying up front to buy your own, but it's cheaper over the long term.
