I'm not usually quite this organized haha... I've just had extra time to get ready cuz of getting off work so early yesterday and cuz she texted yesterday and changed the time to later. Most of the time here lately I'm barely remembering to grab my dream journal on the way out the door, as it now takes me twice as long to get to her house since we moved and I'm usually rushing around.

I have a son with a Christmas birthday. He likes it, extra presents!, and we celebrate Christmas without extended family so no crowd. After Christmas dinner is birthday time. When he was little he got to choose whatever he wanted for his birthday dinner as a part of Christmas dinner. A couple years in a row we had prime rib or roast turkey and the fixin's, and Frosted Flakes.

Aww I really love that idea, that when he was little he could choose his own Christmas dinner item! That's sweet.

When I was a kid I didn't like onions (I love them now), and my Grandpa couldn't eat them cuz of an ulcer, so my mom would always make a smaller bowl of potato salad for he and I to share that didn't have onions in it. I know I usually have negative things to say about my mom but boy can she make a delicious bowl of potato salad!!

Ah okay, I got on to the xfinity customer service chat and after an excruciating half an hour of explaining myself umpteen times, they agreed to ship the effing thing to me within 48h. Part of the problem is that I have an old xfinity account from when I was in high school and used to live with my parents and everything got mixed up such that I can't even sign into my new account until I get the new modem/router, but I can't get the new modem/router until I can sign into the new account etc etc etc.

And the POD pickup guy called me literally 21 times in 10 minutes because, even though I included the driveway gate code in my profile multiple times, he couldn't find it. Luckily I finally paused my xfinity negotiations long enough to notice that my do-not-disturbed phone had a crap-ton of notifications and picked up before he gave up and drove away without the damn thing.

I know I'm starting to sound old and crotchety but, like, is every single company out there completely incompetent? My work still hasn't paid me, my health insurance owes me thousands of dollars of reimbursement money, the people who moved my car were record-breakingly terrible, the POD people have been moronic at every step, Xfinity customer service is so bad that there's actually a subreddit dedicated to how awful they are, the new office worker at my new apartment building has now promised me three times to look things and get back to me but has not followed up once (no idea where I should park, how to get a card for the fancy laundry payment system, how to get the maintenance guys to fix the broken cupboard and shower handles in my apartment, etc etc etc).

I can't tell if moving is annoying because of all of the boxes and heavy lifting or because it puts a person in contact with so many different companies...

A less-grumpy post — is anyone getting this ad for astrology services at the bottom of the forum? I was amused

I’m getting ads for orthopedics, probably because I have a touch of plantar fascitis and googled whether icing my foot would help.

I blame my Apple watch for the plantar fascitis, it challenged me to walk 200 miles in June, and I couldn’t resist.

Ive been watching on TLC or Discoveryplus, some old series Married by mom and dad. Is it interesting! Everybody wants love to be easy and instant! It really shows the nuance of getting to know someone. I think it shows more than it realizes!

Got the report now too for h's liver scan, googled the technical words which apparently mean non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. On more googling it looks like he can reverse it (like so many other things, including his diabetes, which he is at least semi-controlling) with a healthy diet and exercise. I have been cooking more, but too much red meat, time to dive into my cookbooks for some yummy chicken and fish recipes. I love to cook so this is not a problem.

Lol I have a home with a built in furnace. It uses natural gas. It’s not a downward heat exchanger or anything like the other poster described.

I think I might have been too quick in cancelling that second phone call from the charity. Woke up feeling bad this morning. It's the waiting around I didn't like though.Knowing I was going to get a call. The last girl phoned at 1pm. Maybe that's my own fault I didn't want to be fussy and say I had a specific time to be called when it's free and they could get back to me whenever.

Creepy guy is also pissed off at me because I said I didn't want to shave his back. This is the day after I got mad at him for making a comment that I was studying wrong and also about people being stupid enough to pay someone how to breath.

We're not dating but R said I put myself in positions where I made myself vulnerable, because I told him I let him come over late and I fell asleep watching the bodyguard in bed with him at at the other end .

I just want to go home. I'm tired. I've not seen my family for 10 months already.
