Okay, this is freaking me out. Like why are they not just scheduling the darn appointment? If it is cancer and they are mucking about I'm going to be very upset. If the supervisor doesn't call me today I am going to be very upset. Sigh.

I hope they get back to you soon. and that it's good news.

Thanks Lemoncake. My appointment got scheduled for 2 on Wednesday. I'm less worried now that I have an appointment scheduled. And at least it isn't in October or November.

I think it's the "finding serenity" part that is making me think woo woo.

Argh. I'm hungry today even though I ate. I think I'm stressed and as such stress eating.

Hm...seems odd to me first that it's by an Ed.D. rather than something psychology/social work-related. But the main thing jumping out is that it only has 15 reviews on Amazon (and it's not a new book at all).

ETA: In comparison, one that Dr. T recommended to me a while back, Feeling Good, has 1,200 reviews.

Yeah it's an old book and only available used. And just the tile sort of put me off but I already decided I'm going to stop seeing Better Help T anyway. I felt mostly like he was active listening, which is fine but now I have nothing to say. If I decide to use the service again, I'll pick the weekly option even though it is more expensive per week that way but then I would have only been out like $160 instead of $260.

A lot of Ed.D.'s are "therapists / psychologists". They get that doctorate, then apply to be a licensed psychologist and want to be called Dr, when actually they are the same as Bill Cosby hey hey hey.

Everyone will ascend wearing their spangly striped cleavage dresses and tie-dyed heels, of course. ETA: SD, you can wear a spangly striped cleavage suit if you prefer.

Actually, maybe the next one to get married should be the first to find Irvine’s body.
I don't look right in spangles plus they might fall into the fruit- I could wear my rainbow reading glasses around my neck and a bright apple watch band if you like. I always wear brogues (without spangles of any sort) for more formal occasions. If the rest are wearing heels, I will be needed to pick up those who fall.

Amusing Dr. T thing from today:
I mentioned to him how I'd intended to do a few workouts last week, but on Friday realized I'd only done one. H and D were out for a bit, so I decided to put on some music and dance for a half hour. He said if I had an Apple Watch (he has one) that it could track that automatically. I said how I could add it to my Fitbit.

He said the Apple Watch will have these periodic challenges, like the other day, it had a "dance for 20 minutes" challenge. Me: "So, did you dance?" Dr. T: "No, I didn't dance. No dancing, no music. I'm boring." (I already knew about his not being into music.)

Did anyone watch Night Court? It seems like half the main cast has died in the last couple of years.

Are you sure they fit?

I’m going barefoot, like Julia Roberts, so you can all see how filthy my feet are.

I used to watch it on occasion. I can hear the theme song in my head right now. I think I'd be very anxious if I was a surviving member of the cast right now.

If you don't have a side-kick to explain things to, the audience won't know what's going on.

Agreed. Never underestimate the value of a good Greek chorus.

Well, that is one of their functions (at least by the time of Euripides). As well as to wring their hands at human foibles and invoke moral lessons like you can’t escape your fate.

But comic choruses are more fun. They wear giant human phalluses AND dress up as animals.

And this is my favorite satire of a Greek tragedy: https://faculty.georgetown.edu/jod/texts/housman.html
