Couch 230: Decent Communications

Anyone ever had watermelon mixed with pineapple? It might have a name, I'm not sure. My coworker brought some back from San Jose, CA and gave me two sandwich size baggies of it. It's yellow like pineapple, but it tastes like watermelon. Mind boggling! It's good though! Now how to I count this on Noom....as watermelon or as pineapple?

I'm glad it is Friday. But I wish it were closer to getting off of work time.

I don't know why, but I've been tired the past couple of days. I slept in until 5:30 AM today and yesterday I slept in until 6:15 AM (I leave for work at 6:30 AM)! I could barely drag myself out of bed. At least tomorrow I can sleep in a little bit but I have a Zoom Religious study at 9 AM and then Sunday I have to be at Church by 8:45 AM. I almost called in today to go back to sleep but I didn't. I made myself come to work. Then I was done with my work after about 2 hours. I am waiting for some reports so I can do a little more work. But I'll probably get them late in the day and have to do them on Monday because that is my luck. Also I spent the morning trying to get a hold of our broker because our worker's comp is expiring at the end of the month and we need a quote so we can have insurance starting in September. Finally got a response that she's going to schedule a visit next week. So that's good, anyhow.

Oh yeah, I was having this weird distorted dream where I was getting married in a psych hospital. Talk about strange! I don't remember if I was marrying a patient or a doctor. I wanted to finish the dream kind of because it was sort of strange and for once I wasn't having a nightmare about the psych hospital. But of course when I fell back asleep I didn't fall back into the same dream.

L fashion report (that's funny, because she's not really into 'fashion') Today she was back to wearing all black. The last few weeks she's been wearing a blue shirt and black pants, but today was all black again.

We had a great session (I always say that huh) spent about half of it talking about h's current liver issue and my worry and the unknown of it right now and how to deal with that. Then we spent the rest of the time working with 3 dreams that I'd brought in, I'd already worked with all of them I read her each dream then the work I'd already done, and we took that deeper. Then suddenly we were out of time (I hate how time disappears when I'm there) but she let me read last night's dream because it was short and I showed her the drawing I did this morning then I had to remind her she needed to get paid so I paid her then I left. I'll be on vacation next week (H and I are going to spend a few days up in Jerome, yay!) so I won't have a session again til 8/27.

I was running errands all morning - dr appt at 8:30, then to the vet t pick up insulin for diabetic cat, then back to the dr's office because I accidentally left my driver's license and insurance card there (oops!), then to the bank to deposit a check, then to the library, then to L's. Whew! Now that I'm back home I'm kicking back and getting ready to crochet some more. Should finish the current pair of slippers for BIL today.

One of the many mysteries of the NYT Spelling Bee is that “iliac” is a word...but “ilia,” from which we get “iliac,” is not.

Many of the words they do/don't allow make no sense. Also, I have determined that I just suck at the Spelling Bee, as it frustrates me more than anything. So I will just stick to the crosswords. The way my brain operates just does better with those (OK, today was a big struggle when i had to look a bunch of stuff up, but still...)
